24 for 2024

Options
OK, it's that time again!

I know a few people have done this in the previous years, but I'm making a start on getting organised (or procrastinating over my 23 for 23 list 😂) The idea is you have a list of 24 goals, that you do 24 times during the year.  It can be big or small, fun or serious, and the idea is something you can try and achieve throughout 2024 (I've yet to complete the full list any year, but hey it's progress not perfection!).

Original posts if you're looking for inspiration: 20 20s for 202021 things, 21 times in 20212022 New Year's Resolutions Thread, 23 for 2023

To join, simply post your list and remember to come back and let us know your progress.

My curernt 24 for 24!

  1. Answer 24 journal prompts of self-discovery and awareness  (a more realistic goal this year as I've managed a grand total of 9! for 2023)
  2. Build 24 Lego sets
  3. Complete 24 things off master to do list
  4. Deep Clean / Declutter 24 areas around the house
  5. Do 24 things with family and friends
  6. 24 Donations to charity
  7. Enter an average of 24 competitions per day
  8. Get rid of 24 items from the Loft / Garage
  9. Go for 24 walks or bike rides over 30 mins
  10. Have 24 date nights – In or out!
  11. Have 24 fun family adventures
  12. Have 24 no-tech evenings
  13. Learn 24 new things
  14. Listen to 24 new albums
  15. Lose 24lbs
  16. Try 24 new recipes
  17. Play 24 board games
  18. Practice 24 mins of mindfulness each week
  19. Read 24 Books
  20. Save £2024 over the year
  21. Sell 24 things on ebay / booty sites
  22. Spend 24 mins each week organising photos
  23. Treat / do something for me 24 times
  24. Watch 24 new to-me films / documentaries
Most are a repeat of last year but lowered my expectations on some, and removed others I absolutely hated doing (I'm looking at you podcasts!) but these may change as I see other ideas come in 😂 so who's up for this year's challenge?

You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

I love this challenge and there are some excellent ideas on here. I joined the 2020 one but when the world stopped so did I. Some of mine are the same from 4 years but these are the things I enjoy so hopefully 2024 will be a success!

    1. 24 solo days out
    2. Tick 24 things off my bucket list
    3. Try 24 restaurants / cafes I've never been to
    4. Read 24 books
    5. Watch 24 movies I've never seen before
    6. Lose 24lb - I've got a lot more than that to lose but this is a good starting point
    7. Explore 24 Scottish villages / towns / cities I've never been to
    8. Walk 2024km - This is on average 5.5km a day. Over the last 10 days I have walked an of 4.1km so I'll need to make a real effort every day with this one
    9. Create 24 (positive!) habits - For this challenge I'll tick this off if I complete the habit for 24 consecutive days then 24 times each month after
    10. Save 24 of each coin / note domination - up to £20!
    11. Listen to 24 audiobooks
    12. Buy 2
4 £20 gift cards to spend next Christmas
    13. Eat
    24 foods I’ve never tried
    14.
    Watch 24 documentaries
    15.
Eat 24 different cakes / puddings
    16. Go for a walk 24 places I've never been before

    17.
Complete 24 things on my master to do list
    18.
Run for 24 minutes - I think I can run for about 30 seconds at the moment so this will be interesting!
    19.
    Try 24 new recipes
    20.
Post 2024 photos on Instagram - I love looking back on photos but I never keep them in albums or even print them off so Instagram is a wonderful tool for memories. I have something like 60 followers and don't post for 'the gram' but rather boring mundane things that are going on in my life
    21.
24 outings / experiences with DP
    22.
Go to Slimming World 24 times
    23.
    Sell 24 things
    24.
Do 24 things that me look / feel better
