Good morning, it's a fine sunny start here, whoo hoo.
Ds and family turned up yesterday, he'd been doing a parkrun in S Durham, and he rang to see if they could call in on the way home.
They stayed for lunch and we had a good chat, as we hadn't seen them since Easter weekend.
Don't know what's happening today, we may take youngest grandson out, unless he's otherwise engaged.
Glad you had some positive news at the hospital Nanny.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Glorious day yesterday after a chilly start, the sun was shining and it was really warm - I had to go and find a pair of shorts!
Yesterday morning was a bit of a drag - had to go to the flat to help friends with dismantling the beds they were taking, friend I was giving a lift to had a hangover so couldn't bend to do anything and they hadn't taken the correct tools. DD arrived and got very stressed over nothing and snapped at me so I just left them to it, put me in a bad mood for a while! She apologised later but I'll leave her to stew for a bit.
Once home after getting caught up in some traffic I weeded the garden so that looks a lot better, just as well as it's raining this morning. I was going to start painting the fence but that will have to wait for some more dry weather, perhaps later in the week.
Bathrooms have been cleaned this morning, I'll throw the duster around later and have a hoover up. If it continues to rain I may iron some summer stuff - that'll make it rain harder!
Forgot to say to all you Wordlers, I got a word in 1 this week!
Hoping everyone is well and you have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX

Thanks ScarletRibbons for the start.
Looks like another nice day again. Meeting a friend this morning for a walk in the forest, it’ll be a slow and nattering one, we live about 4 miles apart and haven’t met up this year due to one thing and another!I should probably do outside jobs this afternoon but what I actually want to do is hibernate in my workroom and sew - we’ll see if my heart can overrule my head later!Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday before we fly into another week.AA11 -
Morning! A day of gardening awaits when my body decides to wake up a bit more and ease off on the aches and pains. Weather looks like it's going to be a continuation of yesterdays glorious, but there's no washing today so I can appreciate it a bit more. There's stuff to sow, stuff to pot on, and OH wants more fance paint so we're off ot the Hellmouth later., much later though. I was pooped yesterday and fell asleep for a few hours on the sofa hence the early rise today. He won't be early rising though
More tea needed for me to wake up too..
Scarlet, that's nice for you, bit of a surpriseGers, you certainly showed that clematis what for
and beautiful nest, fingers crossed for them! WeeNancy, not that there's been no evidence of it before but shipping all those books back? I was going to say madness but it's a glorious madness
Bella, snoozer, dp1, good luck with childcare in the coming week
camelot, well done on the insta-Wordle! and tempers fugit sometimes, so everyone should have some slack...hope it's all gone smoothly today...Allie, life is short, forget the chore jobs
Take care all, hope today is sunny for you all...

Morning, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. Lovely that your DS stayed for lunch. After my abandoned efforts to clear the dead clematis yesterday I really hope that the disturbed birds go back to the nest. I'll creep along later to see. Meanwhile my injured finger is still throbbing, there's a flap of skin loose, nothing huge, just annoying. Probably serves me right!
The weather stayed glorious all day, it was such a delight to have my front door open all day once again. Especially as today may not be as hot and sunny. I have no real plans so will go where the day takes me. I wish everyone a good one.11 -
Morning allWell done Camelot on your Wordle success. Funnily enough I failed today's. First time for a long time it's beaten me!Another cold windy day here, giving me the hump now. Not sure what to have for dinner today, will make my mind up later. Washing to hang out in a mo, just watching the start of the F1, only the start the rest of the race bores me. Footie later.Hope your finger gets better soon Gers. I have a space in the garden earmarked for a clematis funnily enough. Am going out this week to find one. I want a nice dark purple or blue one.Have a good day all x11

Compression stockings are a unique torture Florenceem !Wanted to say how kind the SA were in my small town on Friday,
I had a sleeping bag I thought they’d like and books and bric-à-brac I was going to take somewhere else ,pulled up in front of the SA charity shop ,on a yellow line ,got out of the car with my stick ,slipped whilst opening the boot ( managed not to fall ) setting the car alarm off ,boot opened books fell out nearly down a drain ,a passerby stopped to helped ,then a lovely lady ran out of the shop and was so kind I gave her everything !Had a lovely chat during which she told me that all the money the shop raises stays in my town ,I will take everything there in future .
I failed Wordle for the first time in ages too Chrisca , !12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. No sun here yet but at least it's dry and I think it feels less cold and no wind blowing.
GERS my fingers are crossed for the birdies to come back and keep the eggs safe. I hope the poorly finger soon heals.
I stripped the bedding off earlier and that is now in the wm chugging away. I am undecided as to whether I trust the weatherman and peg it out. He said it wouldn't rain until tomorrow but I'm not sure I believe him!
Well I have a little mystery here. I had a large sun king circular solar light on my fence at the back last summer and before I had chance to take it in the garage to over-winter it disappeared! I assumed it had taken off during one of the gales, never to be seen again. Then this morning when I looked out the sun king was back on the fence! Nobody has mentioned finding it in their garden and asking if it was mine! Most odd where it's been for the last 5/6 months!!
Off shopping with DS after lunch as he has made an early start sorting his sorry house out this morning. I think it's going to turn into a right Westminster job.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning everyone it’s still chilly here but dry and bright for the moment. Well I think we were all on a mission yesterday lots of gardens getting sorted hubby painted all our walls he let me know this morning that there’s not a part of his body that’s not aching I was the laborer of course moving things picking up and putting away in between baking I was determined to get some done as I had stuff I needed using up and couldn’t fit in the freezer . GERS how lovely to find the nest I hope the birds come back I cut my finger on a tin a couple of weeks ago and didn’t realise I had blood everywhere from the tiniest cut ever they are more of a nuisance than anything. I have some housework I have to do today then not much else going on I have hung a wash out let’s see how long it lasts . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all
Dry and sunny here but still chilly, I have one load on the line and another about to finish they should both dry well today.
We went out for dinner last night with my sister and her partner to a newish restaurant I must say the food was delicious I had scallops to start and then a burrata and peach salad with walnuts pomegranate and rocket it really was tasty and something I want to do at home.
Onto today the house needs a quick tidy through and then we will get the dogs out for a walk, dinner is not decided yet but I do fancy something lighter so may do some sort of salad, maybe a Greek one which is one of our favourites.
Nan I’m glad there was some positive news and I hope the tests turn out ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12
