Intelligent Speed Assist
I enjoy the ISA facility, whereby my car automatically identifies the speed limit and then automatically restricts the car to that speed. Do all new cars have this feature, or is it restricted to more expensive models?

Auto-Renewal car insurance vs non auto-renewal
It seems to be getting more and more difficult to get car insurancethat doesn’t come with auto-renewal. I‘ve never had it and I understand that a lot of people are strongly against it, so trying to find out how exactly auto-renewal works. My assumption is that they have to contact you before the renewal date to let you…

EV chargers- having to bite the bullet
After a few years of an EV charger at my workplace at 12p kwh, it's being replaced and cost is increasing to 40p kwh. On odd occasion we just plugged in to our 3 pin plug overnight at home. We think we've got to bite the bullet and install a home charger (always put it off as worked out cost vs work charger and the latter…

I used a public street charger with my EV today...
Did my first public charge with my Dacia today, to use up some of my Mobilize credit. I found a Wenea 7.4kW on street charger. I put in 9.83 kWh, which cost an incredible £5.87!!! (Compared with £2.07 at home) Worse, it added exactly 30% charge on the guessometer, which assuming a 24.3kWh battery, is only 7.3kWh, so the…

For those of you who've used WBAC to sell your car
Ideally I'm reaching out to those of you who've sold cars that'd be in & about the £2k area on a private sale rather than any of you who've sold a £20k car. I could be wrong but I'd guess there's not as much wiggle room for them to be knocking you down on a £20k car. And in case anyone's picky, I'm not talking about a car…

Selling car - repair paint scrape first?
I have a white Ford Kuga, which has a scraped wing mirror. Should I get this repaired before selling? I assume any buyer will want a small price reduction because of it. I have absolutely no experience in doing this kind of repair myself. I guess I am asking this - will the price reduction be more or less than the cost of…

Car accident – repair privately vs insurance ( worried that Insurer will opt for r writ-off?)
I’ve recently had a car incident (no injuries) and my car needs some bodywork repairs due to deep scratches. I’m trying to work out the most cost-effective way forward. Damage is some deep scratches around rim. Damaged when car was parked. I have Insurer excess of £500. My One concern is that although the damage appears to…

Notifying DVLA of blackout
Last month I had an unexplained momentary blackout while at work. I didn’t collapse or faint, and it wasn’t associated with any seizure or convulsions. I did what I believed to be the sensible thing and spoke to my doctor who did some basic checks and a ECG which all seemed OK but he referred me to Neurology for further…

Found a great cheap fuel finder site

Brand new car warranties
I'm thinking of buying a brand new car, which I have never done before but I wanted to know if you have to take the car to the same dealership for servicing in order for the warranty to remain valid? The dealership I am considering has a good deal on at the moment but their customer reviews are very mixed in terms of…

No fault collision, left without a car due to write-off
Hi, My vehicle was in a collision recently, after coming round a left-hand bend and finding an oncoming vehicle on my side of the road - not just straddling the line, but fully in my lane. The crash was significant in that my vehicle was clearly a write-off, at least to all those attending, e.g., police, members of the…

An automatic car with around £3k budget?
Know absolutely diddly squat about automatics as never entertained them before in my life ever. However my mother is more than likely going to be in the situation where she needs to make the move from manual to automatic. Her budget is probably going to be in & about the given figure. Can't see it being much more at her…
