Brand new car warranties
I'm thinking of buying a brand new car, which I have never done before but I wanted to know if you have to take the car to the same dealership for servicing in order for the warranty to remain valid? The dealership I am considering has a good deal on at the moment but their customer reviews are very mixed in terms of customer service.

No, you can go where you want, so long as they meet the terms of the warranty. Which as a norm is VAT registered & that they use the correct approved part & oils, covered & part no's listed on the invoice.
Although you have to remember that a 3rd party will not have access to any service updates that maybe available. Or like Kia with their paint warranty, this has to be stamped by Kia dealer. So if you go to a 3rd party. They can not do it, you would have to pay a Kia dealer to do this, but if they service the car it is done for free.
Just read the T/C of the warranty (Manufactures website)
You just have to work out if any savings of going 3rd party are worth the issue you may face with any claims.
Not forgetting a warranty is not a cover all get out of jail free card. So read what exactly is covered & how long for.

It's also worth pointing out that you may be free to get it serviced as above (VAT registered with the correct parts by any garage). When it comes to extended warranties, it's has to be an authorised dealer.
Toyota (and others) will now extend their normal warranty every year, up to 10 years or 100,000 miles with a service done by a dealer only.
So just by having it serviced at any Toyota dealer (it doesn't have to be from the supplying dealer) you will effectively increase the warranty by 7 years/100,000 miles.

Suzuki & Dacia offer the warranty extension that I know to.
It really is a dealbreaker, the Citroen I had only had 3 year warranty. After that the extended warranty was £400 a year AND you have to have a £200 service as well, so £600 effectively.
Compare that to Kia & Hyundai where you get 7 years by just paying for the services, or Suzuki/Toyota/Dacia where you get 10 years.
To answer the original question, you can get the car serviced anywhere, but if you need to claim under warranty you may have to fight, it is better to get the service done at the dealer (but it doesn't have to be the exact one who sold the car, any branch will do).

For my make of car only an MG dealer can enter servicing log on the MG computer to give proof of annual have been done in a warranty claim.

I've bought new from a dealer 200 miles away via a broker. All warranty work was done at local main dealer.
Tying to the dealer you buy from isn't possible as dealers do close and they change franchise.

My Peugeot 5008 has been main dealer serviced from new. This year will be year 10. First 5 years @ £800 including AA cover. Next five £900.
Local garage was more than this
I would not buy another car that did not have at a minimum 5 years warranty. 7, 10 year is ideal.
I hope you did your research on your new car
Looked at brokers for their best price and beat the dealer with it. Or Auto trader, that have aot of new cars with thousands off, some have 10k off.

"…if you have to take the car to the same dealership for servicing…"
You can take it to a different dealership for that manufacturer and keep all the advantages that go with that, like body guarantees and software updates.

it’s also worth considering “Goodwill”.
if you have your car serviced in the dealer network, you may get a sympathetic hearing if it fails out of warranty.
if it’s been.serviced by Arthur Daley under the arches, not a chance.

To claim on warranty you would have to provide paper evidence that the servicing had been done at the correct times using the correct parts & materials.
Then you might have to fight to get them to honour their warranty, just hassle easily avoided by using the dealer network for service, which is usually competitively priced (or everyone would go to the cheaper places)
Several dealer networks now use a computer to record servicing that only they can access, in the case of Stellantis other franchises can't access it, even though they can service the car!
They should all be able to print out the service record for you though (at a cost no doubt…..)
