Octopus Money Pension drawdown question
Hi, I was hoping someone has an Octopus Money Pension they are drawing down on so I could check if they have had a similar issue to me. My pension was with Candid Financial who sold the business to Octopus Money a couple of years ago which meant my pension was transferred to the platform Octopus use which is Plannr. No…

Why is CSH2 outperforming SONIA?
So based on the data I have over the last 6 months, SONIA has averaged 3.76% annualised. If CSH2 was tracking it accurately, I'd therefore expect a 6 month return of 1.88% before charges. Instead, Trustnet is telling me that the actual 6 month return is 2.0%, while Freetrade (where I have my largest holding) says it's…

Heads up - new Zopa App on Android Version 2.0.3.11970
For info, when I went to sign in to Zopa, I had to supply email and password, then create a 6 digit password. They have upgraded the app, which I now remember they informed me about by email not long ago. Going to be another learning process to remember where everything is now, but it's ok, am sure I'll get the hang of it.

Savings account with card access
I wonder if anyone has any recommendations for a savings account for my elderly step-mother in law. Father in law has had to go into a home due to dementia. She has a couple of small ISAs but wants to move this so that she can have a card to access the money if she needs to pay some bigger bills as she will no longer be…

OEIC Accumulation Fund CGT base costs
I have held an M&G Asian Fund Acc for several years. I know the original base cost and I have a record of the dividends, equalisation (always £0), and 'Tax amount'. To get the base cost, do I add up the original cost and each of the dividends? Do I include the 'Tax amount'?

Investment as booster while I share-to-buy
Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and to the territory, so please excuse the lengthy introduction. I am still trying to narrow down my options here. I'm coming into a fairly life-changing sum of money (£100,000 - £125,000). I currently rent on London and have no other significant savings, so this figure represents my…

Anybody else finding it impossible to save money at the moment?
Pretty much as per the title really. Since I bought my house in 2022 I have not been able to increase my savings at all, there have been periods where I have had larger amounts of money in my savings account but then besides the usual household bills (mortgage, energy, nursery, water etc) every few months something always…

10-year cash bridge to fund a longer-term retirement (tax/portfolio structure)
I'm hoping to get a bit of a sanity check on a plan I'm putting together, and I want to make sure I haven't missed anything obvious. I already have a thread running over on the Pension board looking at the specifics of the NHS pension scheme, and the replies there have been brilliant. I’m posting this new thread here to…

Cahoot SDS upgrade
One of my SDS is due for renewal in about 10 days. If I were to renew today, would that mean all future interest would be paid on the 25th of the month, rather than the 6th, which it currently pays on? Also, I have a few SDS's, all paying interest on various days of the month, which means I have to log in a few times a…

MonBS AGM (from Reg Saver thread)
Post by @Chaykin BS AGMs: Having so many accounts with various BSs inevitably means a lot of AGM correspondence - mostly via email nowadays although I have received one from Monmouthshire BS in the post recently. I tend not to bother voting etc. unless there's a prize draw or they say they will pay charities for voting.…

II customers - when you sell a fund when is the cash available to buy another?
I have a self-managed ISA with II which currently has four active funds in it totalling around £300K. I'm (still) looking at moving some of those funds to passive equivalents. My passive ISA with II is in their Managed ISA which is a separate account in II terms, and to move money to it I would have to sell in the active…
