Deceased License
My mother is recently deceased. During the process of
cancelling my late mothers TV license, I was struck by the lack of
correspondence (no correspondence) sent out to me by email and/or by postal
mail, acknowledging the cancellation. Upon questioning TV licensing about this,
they said to me that they do not have any…

Disney+ picture quality
I recently downgraded to the ‘standard’ option instead of premium because my tv is not capable of 4K so I didn’t see the point of paying extra. However, I immediately noticed a difference in picture quality. With the animated movies, it’s a dramatic difference. The picture looks dull in comparison and doesn’t stand out the…

Freeview via Broadband through TV
Bit of a long shot. So I have BT/EE TV. I use the service because I don't have an aerial, get heavy discounts on BB with BT and aside from lacking Disney+ works well for me. The aerial point specifically is the seller - running it through my fibre connection proves much easier for me. I have a family member that is now…

Haggling with Virgin Media
Virgin Media want to put our package price up to £89/pm (M125 broadband - Mix TV - Weekend calls), got a counter offer of £74/pm which I didn't accept and so gave notice (2 weeks ago) thinking I would get a call from their retentions department but have heard nothing since. Have been with them for 21yrs and so surprised I…

Did Channel 4, My5, ITV-X, Pluto and Sky News shoot themselves in the foot?
I am setting up a TVL free TV for an elderly relative after their TV broke. I got them a decent second hand TV and bought them a ROKU. I explained that they must never watch LIVE TV on any channel and no BBC iPlayer (I deleted it). However, when I installed the familiar channels including Channel 4, My5, ITV-X and Sky News…

I don't have any other equipment connected, it…

New TV with Freesat built-in - alternative to Sky Q?
If anyone could offer advice please I'd be very grateful. Have been with Sky for years and haven't bought a TV for years either so feel very out of touch with what is now available. So like many people I am planning on ditching Sky TV (currently have Sky Q with just Sky Signature) as just coming out of contract and the…

Mis-sold TV package with EE
We recently telephoned EE to move our full package to them to mirror our current package with Sky i.e. all channels, HD, Ultra HD, multi-room, sports, cinema, broadband and 2 mobile phone sims. This was due to inconsistent signal strength and speed (we don't live in a fibre area). My husband telephoned EE and asked for the…
