Netflix with Ads experiences
I'm trying to reduce my monthly entertainment bill and can no longer justify paying £12.99 per month for the standard plan when the with Ads plan is £5.99. What are your experiences with this plan, are the adverts constant and as I suspect really annoying or are they just one or two at the beginning of a show?

Options to Stream Freeview without Aerial
Hi, My virgin media contract is up and the various price offers I've had from them for a new contract are still stupidly high so looking to leave them. TV isn't hugely important now as most of the things we watch is from on demand or catchup services, however occasionally we do watch the odd bit of live tv so would ideally…

Sky HD
My sky hd pack has just increased to £9 a month - I know I had it on offer till now, but £9 just to watch HD doesn't seem VFM for me. I understand that if i cancel I can't then watch HD channels, but they also say i can't watch anything that i've recorded in HD - how can that be so when I was paying for the channel when I…

DAZN account
More fool me. I wanted to watch boxing one Saturday night. DANZ appeared to be the best option. Signed up. And cancelled the next day. Then I see payment is still being taken. Thought I had not cancelled correctly. But I had. Only to find I have cancelled an Annual account and will have to pay for about another ten months…

When to cancel SKYTV
I want to cancel my entire Sky package (don't use it now and no need for it). Currently I have quite an extensive package of Sports and Cinema, my contract is ending May 30th. Sky have been emailing me stating my contract is ending etc and offering some discounts however I wish to completely cancel. If I cancel do I have…

TV Licence repeats
I noted that in the last two weeks BBC 4 on Friday had a full complement of REPEATS... it appears this coming Friday is the same. I note also that BBC 2usual content currently is approx. 80-90% REPEATS all day. BBC1 is close behind and if you delete Soaps and News (which is repeated daily) there is so little left that you…

Quality of Apple TV/iTunes TV shows potential purchase - Frasier Boxset versus Paramount versus 4
Looking for advice on the TV show Frasier of 11 seasons. I heard that Frasier (the 1990s series) was being/has been remastered in 4K. Apparently it became available in the US in 4K on the Paramount Plus streaming service though I do not know whether on 4K Bluray. And I hear that Paramount Plus now offers 4K streaming in…

TV Licenc
Hi I don’t have a Tv licence as I haven’t watched bbc etc for a number of years. I received an email yesterday stating I had watched bbc iPlayer. However I know that I haven’t opened the app on my tv. My brother did stay with me for a few days recently ( he has a tv licence in his own place and may have watched something)…

Sky TV & Broadband mid-contract price rise April 2025
I received email 6 March 2025 stating that my TV Signature will increase by £7 and Broadband by £3 (£10 total) on 1st April. My future bills show the same increases. I spoke to 2 Sky agents by phone who insisted that my Signature increase is only £4 and talked about a £3.70? Price protection offer that has apparently…

Is it worth going back to Sky
I, like many others, made the decision to completely divest myself from Sky last year in an effort to try and make some savings but with all the price rises coming in over the various offerings I have I'm wondering if it might be worth going back to a single source. My current setup is: Broadband (FTTC only) - £24…

Cancelling Sky
I currently have a basic Sky TV package costing around £45 per month (from next month when prices rise). I don't subscribe to Sports or Movies but do have Netflix as an add on. I'm out of contract but Sky say they can't improve on this price. I have a reasonably new Smart TV so shouldn't have any problems with connecting…

Satellite dish wires cut after cancelling tv licence
Could be being paranoid but I cancelled my tv licence last year & have now noticed that one of the wires to my old satellite dish has a good 2 inch chunk cut out of it where it enters my home. Could be just random act of vandalism but it did get me thinking if anyone else had experienced this? Obviously I didn’t notice as…

Do i actually need a tv licence 🤔
Lately I’ve been wondering about this tv licence as I don’t watch tv, i don’t watch the BBC or BBC iplayer, or other tv channels, and holidays the tv is full of repeats anyway, all I seem to do now is watch either Apple TV, Amazon or one of the other streaming services, so I suddenly thought 💭 do i still need a tv licence?

Virgin Media - Cancellation Fee
Free upgrade from V6 boxes to new, better 360 streamers has been an unmitigated disaster. the 'equipment is not fit for purpose' and we have gone back to freeview using our outside digital aerial. I signed the new contract in November 2024 for 18 months with the older V6 boxes and the 'free' upgrade to 360 took place in…
