Has anyone been offered HD after their HD add on discount period ended? I was getting it for nothing then they wanted £9 followed by "£4 is the best we can do" .  Told them to shove it.  Interested to see if anyone on a supposed legacy system like Sky Q has got offers. Im not hopeful as regards my own case.

  • Have you got the MySky app?
If you have, go to home section, scroll down to 'Latest Deals' and click on that, then 'Manage your package' - you should see various offers for Cinema, Sports etc., and if you scroll down you may see a deal for HD - I currently see £0/month for 2 months.
If you take the deal you can make a note in your diary to call Sky to give notice on just the HD part of the package 31 days before the free period ends. (unfortunately you can't downgrade it in the app, even though you can add it in the app).
Once the 31 days is up and you downgrade to SD you may see it is offering another 2-4 months of HD for free in the MySky app. Possibly rinse and repeat.

Hi. Thanks for the notification.  Ive got the app but under the home section all I have is "suggested for you" which pushes you into VIP section. Unfortunately nothing is showing there at present apart from useless offers for Sky Movies etc

Companies charging for what is now a broadcast industry standard is absolutely disgraceful.

You need to click on the 'TV' option then look for 'Your Products' and click on 'Manage'. click on 'Home Set-up'. I've got Ultra HD available (already have HD) for £0 for 2 months and £4 a month after that. It's a rolling monthly add-on with 30 days notice to cancel, you do need to contact them to remove it annoyingly.

My offers, in that section, headed "Customer Deals", are, from top to bottom:
    • Sky Cinema
    • Sky Sports
    • Sky Glass Air
    • Sky Glass Gen 2
    • Ultra HD
    • Sky Multiscreen
    • HD
    • Full Fibre Broadband
    • Sky Kids
    • 50 GB for £10 a month
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE
    • iPhone 17 Pro
    • TNT Sports
    • Sky Protect Device Insurance
    • Sky Sports (again!)
So it's worth going through the whole list just to check that you haven't missed the HD offer hidden in the middle of loads of other stuff you aren't interested in.

Of course I assume offers can vary from customer to customer, but for me the HD offer seems to almost always be there (I used to be on Sky+ until recently but it was there again when I switched to Sky Q)
