Humax Aura PVR problems?

The otherwise excellent Humax Aura PVR is notoriously buggy, the most common of which is probably the frequent unprompted rebooting.

I’m now finding that it won’t record anything but BBC on SD channels - though that doesn’t seem to be the case with HD.

Anyone else noticed this? Started a few days ago.

I would start by taking a look at the Humax user forum

Record the HD channels rather than SD?

Only reports of issues I've seen are specifically with the D3&4 multiplex (ITV1,C4, C5 SD channels)... not with the other two COMmercial muxes.

Complain to the affected TV channels... It's their EPG/now&next info that is incorrect causing the problem.

Been over a week as far as I can tell from reading forums... But it's not uncommon for the clock time change to cause systemic problems to happen.

One user has found that because they leave their machine on 24/7, the stored EPG goes stale unless the box is tuned to other channels...  A HD channel has been chosen to auto switch to for 20 minutes a day and the issue has resolved for them...  That may or may not be the case here?
