Thank you.1 -
i have had the same problem as others, have just spent an hour on live chat to find out what to do as i do not have photo i.d and i had read somewhere that document i.d. could be uploaded or posted, but the hooyu did not give an option for that. the live chat said no, photo only. when i finally got them to link me to where in the t and c's it says this which took a while i have now looked at the page and it quite clearly says that a bank account can be open with paper docs. i had asked if an isa account was classed as a bank account - yes. only nowhere can i see when or where to send the documents.

As an existing (RBS) customer, opening the account and setting up the transfer (from Virgin) was very easy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. Sorry to hear about others having issues. My experience was very slick. 7 days from application as a new customer I have all my funds in my account transferred from another ISA.1

After an issue with an account closure a few years ago, I thought a limitations statute may have passed.. but I fully expected to get declined.
And I was.
So, I've thrown on a bit more straw, I've issued them a DSAR.0 -

I tried opening a new one. It asked me to enter the account number of who I wanted to transfer out thisa time.
Unfortunately it only allows an 8 figure number, and not the actual ISA account number, so thwarted again.0 -

I opened a one year fixed with Lloyds - opened immediately with account details straight away and my ISA transfer completed within 24 hours.
Honestly - why is this Natwest process so slow and painful?!1
