Got my NatWest Hooyu email last night. Think I will just  leave it and wait until the next bank rate meet and see what happens to ISA rates.
You will keep getting reminders, even in the early hours of the morning.  However, when I see the number of issues that keep cropping up, misleading information, ambiguity, deadlines and  mistakes , I am more than happy to ignore the request to give Hooyu any information and bypass this ISA,. It was a hard decision at first but for me, it's proving to be the correct one. So you are not alone 🙂
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes,  thank you and no.

    Thank you.

i have had the same problem as others, have just spent an hour on live chat to find out what to do as i do not have  photo i.d and i had read somewhere that document i.d. could be uploaded or posted, but the hooyu did not give an option for that. the live chat said no, photo only. when i finally got them to link me to where in the t and c's it says this  which took a while i have now looked at the page and it quite clearly says that a bank account can be open with paper docs. i had asked if an isa account was classed as a bank account - yes. only nowhere can i see when or where to send the documents.

As an existing (RBS) customer, opening the account and setting up the transfer (from Virgin) was very easy.

Sorry to hear about others having issues. My experience was very slick. 7 days from application as a new customer I have all my funds in my account transferred from another ISA.

After an issue with an account closure a few years ago, I thought a limitations statute may have passed..  but I fully expected to get declined.

    And I was.

So, I've thrown on a bit more straw,  I've issued them a DSAR. :)

My experience as an existing NatWest customer was similarly easy. The ISA transfer (also from Virgin Money) completed in only two working days. I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so fast and smooth, given what I've read on here about Virgin Money ISA transfers.

Day 8. No activation code yet and ISA still sitting in my online banking at Nationwide!

I tried opening a new one. It asked me to enter the account number of who I wanted to transfer out thisa time.

Unfortunately it only allows an 8 figure number, and not the actual ISA account number, so thwarted again.

    Very slick.

I opened a one year fixed with Lloyds - opened immediately with account details straight away and my ISA transfer completed within 24 hours.

Honestly - why is this Natwest process so slow and painful?!
