My total is at £1650 and I'll be back to add more just after Christmas, hoping there are no emergencies requiring fundage.

Just wanted to pop in a wish everyone on this thread a very Merry Christmas.....you have all done really well all year and those who have needed to dip into the fund, have come along shortly after with an update and determination to top it back up.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the updates, even through life's challenges you have kept plodding on, if you got £s for determination, motivation and encouragement you would all millionaires.
I hope you all have many family/friends around the Christmas tree......any gifts under it is a bonus

I would like to join please:j
We need to save £7200 for our emergency fund. We have completed Dave Ramsey's BS1 and are jumping to BS3 as our current debt (loan, due to finish Dec 2017) has penalties for early payment. I think it will take us a few years to save this at the moment but I am going to really try and gazelle it :TNow Mrs FrugalinShropshire:T Proud to be mortgage and debt free:j0 -

Good Morning Everyone
Thank you to all of you for bearing with me over the last couple of months while I've been going through some family issues....I really appreciate it and I'll try to do better at Updating over the coming Year...
So Friday went okay, good Journey up North although very long....The Funeral went fine but the Journey back was a bit rotten, finally got in about 9pm on Friday night....But it went well overall...
Christmas Day was good although there were lots of tears when we thought about Grandad and the fact that he is no longer here...although I feel he is still looking down on us all...
I got a very lovely surprise which was a large Gift of money....I am ever so grateful and will put a chunk of it in my Emergency Fund so that I can start that off with a bang in the New Year....So I'm very grateful and moved by that Gift....
All in all, it's been a different sort of Christmas for me...Usually this is my favourite time of the Year but this Year has been about reflecting on the past Year and reflecting on the people that I've loved and lost....and trying (I do say trying) to focus myself on the Year ahead, although that is still a work in progress...
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that you got to spend time with friends and/or family....And that you are happy and looking forward to the Year ahead...Let's make it a good one!!
So here to Updates...
sophieo16 - I've Updated the First Page...You're doing AWESOME!! So far into your new Target already...keep on going...And thank you for your lovely words, I hope I have been encouraging to everyone....and thank you for your encouragement to me... xXx
Dobbibill - Thank you for your lovely Christmas Wishes and for Welcoming our newest Member to the Group....I hope you had a really great Christmas and I look forward to seeing you reach your EF Goal in 2017...I know you can do it!! xXx
FrugalinShropshire - WELCOME to the Group...I'm so sorry it has taken me a little while to Welcome you, I've been going through some Family things over the last couple of months...But it is REALLY lovely to have you here...I've Added you to the First Page....Please do come back and let us know how you're getting on....We are a lovely group and very encouraging...whether you have to dip into your Fund or whether you get there slowly or quickly...it doesn't matter, what matters is that we are all saving at our own pace....You are most Welcome here.. xXx
black cat - WELL DONE!! CONGRATULATIONS!! That is awesome news and I've Updated the First Page....It doesn't matter how you came into it, just that you've achieved it...let me know if you have another Goal that you'd like to save for....And Well Done again xXx0 -
I have not been able to add much without it ending up going straight back out again. But I now have rebuilt the baby emergency fund to £500
The holiday fund is back up to £101
But the other account has £3,822 now in it, although my dental surgery will still have to come out of that in the new year.
So actually at the moment I have gone over my target if I add the two together. ( not the holiday fund though).
I am currently on holiday with Mum,
But I have a long weekend booked for my friends birthday in two weeks time, so I doubt that will be with me for long. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
