Hi all,
Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome! I love this year being the "year of possibilities" as DreamerHelen creatively put it!!
I used to get some brown envelopes and try and work in cash each payday (which didnt really work for me that well as I would spend on the card when I was out (and cash at home) and then end up putting the cash back in the bank!) soooo... clearing out the tin of brown envelopes, I actually had £100.00 there!
Officially off the blocks and I cant wait to join you all for this crazy ride! HNY to you all and my signature has been updated!

DreamerHelen, I know what you mean about not having loved ones around for Christmas. This was the first Christmas since we lost my m-in-l and my dad, so we were all a bit down over the last week.
Anyway, my 3-6 month fund now stands at £85.Never Knowingly Understood.

Happy New Year everyone!!!
Helen - You totally summed up last year. For me too it was a year of emotional turmoil and unhappiness. I think drawing a line under it (if it was a bad year for you too) is a great plan... '2017 : The Year of Possibilities' - I love it!!!
For me - a big part is looking at what I did well, what I didn't, what can I let go... and what will I carry forward. For me personally I also need to take an honest look at myself and see why certain patterns repeated for me over the last few years - I can't help feel there must be something I am doing/not doing that is contributing. It's all in the realms of personal relationships... If I can just apply the same determination and energy to working on those as I have my financial issues I'll be sorted in no time haha!
So - Jan 2017 off to a good start...
Amount added = £250
3-6 Month EF = £2300/£4500
