    Another update from me

#2 another £33.36 added so new total £7703.78 aka 88.55%.

This is my confirmed total. Sorry for the confusion Helen, I literally put £100 in and it had to come back out again for the garage but I didn't put my total or % on the second post that day which probably didn't help.

It's good to hear you are staying positive as much as possible, remembering your dreams.......don't forget those rainbows ;)

    Keep on keeping on Everyone

    Morning Everyone... :)

A quick Update this Morning... :D

Dobbibill - I've Updated the First Page...You are doing INCREDIBLE!! Don't worry about the confusion....not a problem. I promise to continue chasing my rainbows...you too hun xXx :)
  • Back to the saving drawing board I'm afraid. Work was not flowing as well as I needed it to so had to dip into my emergency fund (thank goodness it was in place) so we are at 0 but I know the only way is up and into positives. I have managed to half my debt this year so 2017 will be about vanquishing the other half and rebuilding my emergency fund.

Thanks for the motivation folks you will never know how grateful I feel to be surrounded by the MSE family.

  • Hello guys,

Thank you for all of the lovely messages and for letting me carry on here with another target.

For now I'm looking to save around £4000 for a new car and currently have £564.28 saved towards it.

The car I've got at the moment is reliable but getting old being a 01 reg so I'm saving up partially out of precaution and partially because its going to need to be done eventually :)

    Morning Everyone....

Well just to top off this really rotten Year I've had to break into my Emergency Fund...So I'm starting back at Zero.... :( I am pretty gutted about this but I am going to draw a line under this Year, it's nearly over, and start next Year afresh and aim for a fiver each Week to put into my Emergency Fund...It's what I was aiming for from the beginning but unfortunately family events and other things took over....Sometimes real life can do that...

Anyway....I will aim for something new and exciting from next Year...I WILL keep on chasing those rainbows xXx :)

So here is to the Updates...Let's ALL keep on going...We CAN do this!!

misselvis - Please don't worry, I've had to do the same thing, like you said it's good that you had it there to use and didn't have to do something silly like get credit somewhere at huge interest...Start again, this Thread will never judge you for that xXx :)

sophieo16 - I've put your New Target on the Front Page...just below where your original Target was....You're already doing AMAZING...keep on going.... xXx :)

carbootcrazy - Don't worry, I know you will get there...You'll get nothing but encouragement from this Thread....We are all in the same boat...some can save fast, some can't....but we will all get there in the end... xXx :)
  • Helen, thanks so much for your really sweet and encouraging comments. Whatever difficulties you are going through yourself you always take the time to help the rest of us:A.

What a truly awful year you've had! At least getting your professional qualification gave a nice boost and respite from what must have been some unbearable events. Keep going and remember that just as you are always here for us we are always here for you:kisses3:

Thanks Carbootcrazy, Mine is reliable but has started to show signs of wear and tear. Ive had a few hump and bumps with it towards the end of this year but I was throwing everything at my emergency funds first. Hopefully, it holds out!
