A huge congrats on your good news though, 7 yrs of hard work finally done....well done you!
A big well done to everyone else who has managed to add to their funds. It's always a challenge at this time of year but the focus and planning from everyone is a true reflection on how motivated everyone on this thread is.
Keep on keeping on

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've logged on. Things have been very hectic lately however, id much rather be busy than bored so i can't complain too much.
An update after my payday at the end of last month.
#5 £3000/£3000 (100%)
After a hard slog and a few ups and downs I've actually managed to fill my 3-6 EF!
Im now going to move on to saving up for a new car, slowly but surely as well as putting bits and pieces away for a house deposit. If you guys don't mind I'm hoping it would be ok to update my total for my car fund on here? I find it very motivational when i have somewhere to hold myself accountable.

Well done Sophieo16, you must be very proud of yourself.......we are all proud of you too, another member to hit their 100% target. :T
Of course you can update your new target here, Keeping Motivated is also on their 2nd target. It's a true testament of how motivating this thread has become.
Let us know your car target and Helen will update the first page for you.

Congratulations Sophieo16 :T
Dobbibill you are doing so well with your total too :j and you are so right this thread is motivating as I wouldn't have continued to keep adding to it if I didn't feel accountable here, it makes a huge difference.
Helen could you add £55 to my new second target please so I am now at £95/£60000 -
Firstly, big hugs to you Helen. Thinking of you as 24th approaches:kisses3:. Massive congratulations to you on your Qualification:T. Just goes to show that hard work in the face of all sorts of personal and health issues really does pay off. You are a star:A
Congratulations to all you supersavers. You are truly inspirational:beer:
Well, sadly I haven't been able to add as much to my fund as I'd hoped:o. A few absolutely essential but unexpected spends have meant much of the extra that I managed to make has been spoken for:(. They weren't 'emergencies' as such so I left my £1000 patman's Emergency Fund challenge total intact for now and used the money I intended to put in this pot instead.
Excuses, excuses, eh?:o. Will be back in a mo with the updated figures.
Right, I'm back. Can only afford to add £70 (and this is about 2 months worth of savings:o) but it brings my total to £620 which is more than I ever thought I'd manage, given that my £1000 EF is still intact.0 -
Thanks Helen!
Congrats to those people hitting their targets and saving their pennies!
In a bid to tighten my belt - I'm going to rejoin the NSK Challenge next month where we do SFD (Spend free days) and set targets for the months spending. I realise, left unchecked I give myself way too much financial rope to hang myself with.
Keep up the good work all! x
