  • Hi Carbootcrazy...

NSK (NinjaSavingsKat) was the original creator of the threads that setmonthly challenges... Though she doesn't run the thread anymore - people take it in turns each month - the essence ofthe challenges is the same.

    For November the link was:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5546649

If you drop a post in to be added for next month that should do it...

Helen, It's so lovely to hear that your Grandad's funeral was such a wonderful celebration of his life. It's such a blessing to have such a close and supportive family as you obviously do. Sending my warmest wishes to you all as you take up your lives again and move on:kisses3:. Good to hear that Mum is on the mend.

I know exactly what you mean about waiting until the end of the year and hoping the next one will be a good one. I feel the same. It's a strange time of year for me with my Dad dying on 23rd December and Mum on New Year's Eve (7 years apart, not the same year). As the year draws to a close I just want it over as soon as possible, much more so than in the old days when I celebrated having lived through a good year and looked forward to embarking on the adventure of a shiny new one. Does that make sense?

This year has had its ups and downs galore for me (as I expect it has for everyone else) but the doom and gloom haven't completely swamped the better bits so I shouldn't grumble really:o. I'm just setting my stall out to give 2017 a bit more welly and be more proactive in certain areas of life. Easier said than done maybe but we have to keep trying don't we?;)
  • Hi Helen I am pleased to hear your grandads loved ones came together to celebrate his life..take care of you now.

Can you add £5 to my total please...not much but every little helps :)

    So new total £275/£6000
  • Evening everyone,

Hugs Helen - Thinking of you... Sounds like you gave him a lovely send off...

Can't believe we are into December already!

Another £250 added to my EF as was lucky enough to get in a bit of overtime = £2050/£4500

With any luck next month I'll hit the halfway mark!!! Keep at it everyone! Every bit - even if it's 1p gives a little bit of added security - and trust me - it soon mounts up!!! Not so long back I was drowning in debt - then one day I wasn't - and it's all because of threads like this one! So stay strong and keep saving!!!
