  • Hi Helen

Regarding my next target.. The £6000 is 3 months emergency fund for me so I would ideally like to continue to have 6 months fund if possible.

So I will start again with another £6000 target which I will open an account for today as the interest rate that the first £6000 is in is not a good rate so I don't want to continue adding to that.

    Hope everyone is well x

Well done:T. Good Luck for your next £6000:beer:

Interest rates are rubbish at the moment, aren't they? We struggle to save anything (well, I do anyway:o) and then we hardly get anything extra for letting the banks have it:(. I seem to be constantly checking interest rates and offers from the various banks etc. It used to be a case of deposit money and pretty much forget about it. Nowadays it seems like constant hassle chasing the best (of a pathetic bunch) interest rates:(
  • Morning Everyone.... :)

Things here are okay so far.....We have our moments but for the most part we are doing well....

No movement on my Emergency Fund...but that's to be expected over the last several weeks....I'll get there... :)

    LittleMissDetermined - Don't worry, that's what it's there for....I hope you're going somewhere nice....Have a WONDERFUL time!! xXx :)

Keeping Motivated - I've put your next Target underneath your original one....I wanted to keep it there because you did amazing getting to your first Target.....Good Luck in your new Target...I know you can do it... xXx :)

carbootcrazy - I hope you're doing well....How are you getting on with your Target....Keep going hun.... xXx :)
  • Thanks Helen :) Back to the canaries, hoping for warm weather! X

    Hi all,

I've been AWOL for a while, as things have been hectic at home, but back now with progress to report. £100 added to my fund, making it £1250. Slowly but surely ...

Keep up the good work everyone :-)
  • Hi All,

Has been an age since I last posted... Life has been up and down and my focus shifted away to other things... Some time out helped refresh my perspective and allow me to set new goals and pick up old ones...

    So - without further a-do...

My Emergency Fund now stands at £1800/£4500

Still a way to go but heading in the right direction...

I hope everyone is doing ok and saving hard! Hugs x

  • Hi hope everyone is well

Helen could you add £40 to my new target please as I've just sent it over to the ISA. I've not had time to set up another account so even though this one has a terrible rate its better transferred over or it will just mingle with my spending money and be spent haha..
I'll think about researching/opening new accounts next week
  • Morning Everyone.... :)

Things not too bad here......The Funeral is 24th and I know that will be a tough day....but we'll all get through it...

I did have some WONDERFUL news on Wednesday....After 7 Years Training I have finally Qualified as a Psychotherapist.... :D:D:D This means I can now apply for Jobs and also can get Private Clients and can charge them a decent rate...so I'm really really thrilled....There were lots of happy tears... :D

So, to Updates....I've got nothing to Update for me but I'm happy to Update for everyone else....You're all doing AWESOME!!

LittleMissDetermined - The Canaries sound lovely...I hope you have a WONDERFUL time... xXx :)

JCUK - I've Updated the First Page...You're doing BRILLIANTLY...keep on moving forwards... xXx :)

abundant1972 - It's lovely to see you again on here...Don't worry, we all have lives that we have to attend to...You'll always be welcome here.... And you're doing AWESOME...I've Updated the First Page.... xXx :)

Keeping Motivated - I've Updated the First Page.....Can I just check that the Update is £40 out of £6000 for your New Target? If so then you're on your way....Keep going...you're an INSPIRATION!! xXx :)
