We're about to start reviewing our detailed guide to Cashback Sites (also see the Cashback Maximiser tool). While the amount they payout is important, so is the payout reliability - do you actually get your money?

Regular users please answer the poll[/title]

Therefore we'd like those who use the sites on a reasonably regular basis to help feedback a poll on payout reliability and enter a discussion on any other issues surrounding the sites.
This thread is to discuss
QUIDCO FEEDBACK
Please vote in the poll above and give your feedback in the discussion thread.

Important - this is only about the last year[/title]

While in the past there were substantial problems with cashback sites, the big players have made attempts to improve reliability over the last year.
Therefore its important the feedback sticks to current performance, not issues that happened more than a year ago.

1200.00 + paid out from Quidco with no issues. Quidco tend to get more true exclusives before its competitors and pay market leading rates. :T0

Had over 5K in cashback from Quidco, only 2 transactions not paid by merchant in 4 years. One of these was Citibank, the other Eurobet.0

Good tracking, never had an issue with payments0

The most common problems seem to be where they usually offer cashback at one rate, but they agree to increase it for a period of time.
For example they put Sainsbury insurance up from £45 to £60 for a while and then only paid me £45, their answer to my query didn't really make sense and months later I still haven't had the extra money, not sure whether I will ever receive it or not. That £15 makes the difference between whether Sainsbury were the cheapest or not.
The most recent problem was when Europcar increased cashback from 7% to 11% for a while, it tracked at about 30% and then was cancelled a few days later, then it tracked at 11% and was cancelled more than two months later, now they have shown it as 7%. If I had been told it was only 7% cashback at the time I would have booked with Budget, because they would have been slightly cheaper, so I feel that I have been tricked.
I find the Quidco query system quite complex and irritating. Thanks to all who post constructively.

I've been with Quidco since Jan 2006 - they have always been good but have got ever better over the last year. Perfect for me as its a simple, clean, site that's straight-forward to use in that its easy to find merchants and click the link, easy to raise a ticket on any queries, and they've got a regular end of month payment slot. Some of the other sites are too gimmicky.0

I've had £1400 in about 18 months, without buying anything I wouldn't have already bought, love it!0

I have nothing but praise for Quidco.
I have had a handful of missing transactions, but, after submitting a claim, I have always received full payment eventually.
I have dabbled with other cashback sites and have been let down by all of them, so I'll be sticking with Quidco from now on.0 -
Once great, no longer though. Sadly gone downhill and can't be relied on with insurance products.
Hope they can turn it round, but far, far too many broken promises.

I think Quidco are good for little purchases, like CDs from Play.com, but this year I was let down on £65 cashback from Co-operative insurance - it was declined. I had fulfilled all the conditions, but Quidco jsut said 'the merchant' had declined because I had not fulfilled all the conditions! Easy for Co-op to say this! Quidco seemed to take a month to answer every time I raised a query. They just kept repeating that the 'merchant' had declined, and did nothing with the proof I offered them that I had fulfilled all the conditions. I felt Quidco just 'believed' the 'merchant' and were doing nothing about it. I think the Co-op has declined most transactions yet Quidco kept letting them advertise the £65 cashback which they refused to give me. I HATE the SLOW and difficult 'ticket' system Quidco has. I will NOT EVER buy insurance from Co-Operative insurance again, nor will I use Quidco for big purchases, because I do not trust them to follow up when things are declined on no evidence.0

I've tried to be fair in my rating, despite the fact I actually think Quidco are useless. So far Quidco have paid out all but one of four problem transactions. Three of the four were from insurance policies. Quidco state payment within three months, which is not correct; they have since stated that tracking takes up to three months and payment can be several months after this. This is far from truthful as it has taken six months for a Co-op transaction to go from Tracked to Received and I shall not receive it until early November. Almost seven months after taking out a policy with Sainsbury's Finance the cashback is still stated as Tracked.
Further issues regarding several transactions not tracking, poor customer service (tickets closed before being able to respond etc.) and concerns regarding the running of the business have ensured I will never use Quidco again.
If you enjoy hanging around waiting for monies to be paid then Quidco is the cashback site for you. If you'd prefer monies to be paid in good time, check out the competition; many are far better at paying out in good time and they are often free to join.0
