We're about to start reviewing our detailed guide to
Cashback Sites (also see the Cashback Maximiser tool). While the amount they payout is important, so is the payout reliability - do you actually get your money?
[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gifRegular users please answer the poll[/title]

Therefore we'd like those who use the sites on a reasonably regular basis to help feedback a poll on payout reliability and enter a discussion on any other issues surrounding the sites.
This thread is to discuss
WEPROMISETO FEEDBACK
Please vote in the poll above and give your feedback in the discussion thread.
[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gifImportant - this is only about the last year[/title]
While in the past there were substantial problems with cashback sites, the big players have made attempts to improve reliability over the last year.
Therefore its important the feedback sticks to current performance, not issues that happened more than a year ago.

There are also threads on the following other cashback sites

Thank you for your help

Now pay mainly 50% Cashback Rates and increased its minimum payout level from 10.00 to 25.00 which mean that those who were waiting for say 15.00 to become payable would have to earn another 10.00+ at what are often 50% rates in order to be able to cashout. icon13.gificon13.gificon13.gificon13.gificon13.gif

Edited to add : Reeny they reduced all validated transactions by 50% from late February onwards, after ticketing Fiona I was credited for the 50% value that she said was "reduced in error". I then increased my cashout level to 50.00 so that I could get as much out as possible, while I was waiting for items to become payable they also reduced by 50%. icon8.gif Early October I got virtually everything I had transacted out of WPT with a withdrawal of nearly 44.00. :j( bar a Paddy Bingo non tracker from early January 2009. icon9.gif )
  • Still waiting for a £75 payment from November 08 from WePromiseTo. They may promise, but chasing it up hasn't seemed to have helped me on this occasion.

I was also owed money by Wepromiseto but eventually got paid by hounding them. Phone them on 0207 1831 653. They will keep promising to pay every month just as they did me but in the end I demanded they send me a cheque and that if I didn't receive it by a certain date I would take the matter further. Thankfully the cheque arrived a day after my date of demand. Also the amount of £75 originally promised was showing as only £37.50 due in my account and after contacting them they agreed it was an error and that they would amend it but they never did. After much complaining they advised that Insure Pink which was the company that my cashback was earned with had reduced their rates and that my account had automatically changed to coincide with the new rates. The promised to revert this back to £75 but during my months of waiting for my cash it still remained at £37.50 . On my demand for a cheque I also demanded they pay me the amount I was originally promised which they did. I would advise people to check their accounts to ensure that the cashback they are paid is that which was originally promised and not reduced if companies amend their rates after the event.

I gave up too- I found the only way to get credited -and only sometimes this worked, was to email them to remind them of what was clearly showing on my account- there were also missed things I'd bought which for whatever reason were not showing on my account. Neither seemed to get credited and I gave in and moved on.

Rule No.1, never buy anything you wouldn't otherwise have bought and paid the asking price for. For me, nothing lost nothing gained.

Yes I am also annoyed that they have increased their payout from £10 to £25. I don't wish to use them as a Cashback site any longer and I've got over £20 just stuck there that I can't access. With Topcashback and Cashback Kings I can get my money out even if is only £1.
  • These have really gone down the pan. I've got a stack of outstanding tickets some from a complete year ago. They were good, now they're awful ( sorry "Fiona" but only so many regurgitated excuses will wash). I give these a wide berth now. I use Cashback Rewards and TCB these days.

I think this site has stopped trying to compete. It certainly does not pay 100% in all cases as promised. It's gradually morphing into greasypalm.... ie 50%.
  • I've had £12.67 marked as "Payment Due" for several months now. To make up the difference, I signed up to Sporting Bet in early July, and the £12.50 has been validated now for over 3 months.

I have contacted WPT several times about when I can expect payment for the Sporting Bet transaction, but just get fobbed off with generic responses every time saying they will "look into it".

Also, the payment threshold was upped to £25 without any notice. This meant that I had to earn more cashback from this site (at 50% rate) before I could get my hands on my cashback.

I also had a norwich union payment due from nov 08.
They have just paid out, it was a big amount, £70 so I wasnt prepared to give up on it.
When I opened a ticket they explained that with insurance they pay out when the policy nearly expires. I guess this is to prevent you cancelling the policy just to get cashback.
