We're about to start reviewing our detailed guide to
Cashback Sites (also see the Cashback Maximiser tool). While the amount they payout is important, so is the payout reliability - do you actually get your money?
[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gifRegular users please answer the poll[/title]

Therefore we'd like those who use the sites on a reasonably regular basis to help feedback a poll on payout reliability and enter a discussion on any other issues surrounding the sites.
This thread is to discuss
CASHBACKKINGS FEEDBACK
Please vote in the poll above and give your feedback in the discussion thread.
[title=http://images2.moneysavingexpert.com/images/dp/wtd_underline.gif]wtd_icon.gifImportant - this is only about the last year[/title]
While in the past there were substantial problems with cashback sites, the big players have made attempts to improve reliability over the last year.
Therefore its important the feedback sticks to current performance, not issues that happened more than a year ago.

    [*]Quidco feedback
    [*]Topcashback feedback

    [*]Cashbackking feedback
    [*]Greasypalm feedback
    [*]Wepromiseto feedback
    [*]Rpoints feedback

Again 1200.00+ paid from CBK, were for a long time my favourite site, sadly CBK paying so many pounds or % less than the true 100% rate is now as common as night following day, icon9.gif whilst it has a HCP, thats reliant on people not knowing what higher rates are available elsewhere.

Its solely due to CBK now paying less than 100% rate that I believe Cashback Kings should be removed from MSE Cashback Maximiser and its affiliations with MSE made defunct being as MSE stands for "Consumer Revenge", not Consumer Get Conned. icon9.gif
    • I have tried CBK for a while and I have had to submit claims for nearly every transaction.

CBK have just rejected my claim for cashback for a mobile phone purchase from "3" with the following:

"The merchant has rejected your enquiry with the following response: Another marketing channel was credited with sale, due to a voucher/discount code used

Unfortunately we have not received commission for this transaction and will therefore be unable to award cashback on this occasion.

We cannot pursue this claim any further with the merchant, but we do monitor the performance of our merchants in responding to claims and, where appropriate, we will remove them from our sit"

Well, that's just not good enough, CBK. Why the hell aren't you pursuing this claim any further? No voucher or discount code was used and I have been using cashback sites for long enough to know how to delete cookies, etc, before making a purchase via a cashback site.

I feel that I have been let down with CBK complete lack of support, so I won't be using them again. I'll stick to Quidco in future.

Best tracking (of quidco, topcashback and cashbackkings) but I have stopped using now as they are no longer 100% payers. Currently using TCB but they just missed tracking for hsbc.
      I think....
    • I usually use Quidco but have found CBK very reliable and prompt on the occasions where their rate was higher or Quidco was not paying out for the thing I wanted to buy.

I like that there is usually a definite date of payout given for most transactions.

One minor gripe is that I have an outstanding transaction from Jan 2009 with an enquiry raised. I receive an automated 'we are still chasing your enquiry' message every month and so raised a contact ticket to check if they really were. The reply said 'yes we are, please don't contact us about this again'. Fair enough I suppose, answering enquiries about enquiries diverts their time away from actually dealing with the original enquiries but I felt a bit put out and don't hold out much hope of ever seeing that £15. 4/5 overall.
    • Offers tend to be no better than Quidco so I tend to stay with tried and trusted Quidco ... that said, where there is a better offer with CBK I have used them without any problems at all. It seems to take longer before cash can be redeemed though
    • i hVE USED CASHBACKKING 12 TIMES THIS YEAR EARNING ANYTHING BETWEEN £1 00 AND UPTO A MASSIVE £50 00 AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL GRANTED YOU SOMETIMES HAVE TO WAIT ANYTHING UP TO 3 MONTHS
    • I wanted to insure my bike and found £50 off on CBK. I had to call the insurer direct though and nicely speaking gent on the other side of the line told me that the cashback is actually £75 which would mean that is cheaper than the best i got on a comparison site. As it turned out, the cashback was only £50 and therefore I overpaid for my bike insurance by £15 and still have to wait if i see my cashback in November.
Is this miselling practice? Could I report them to the financial authority? When I called them to answer my questions they apologize but would not offer me promised £75. I wont use the same insurer again - Be Wiser.

CashbackKings have terrible customer 'service' & a don't care attitude towards members/customers. Their record for replying to queries and investigating claims is appalling compared to competitors like Getpoundsback or Fatcheese. A very simple general question can take weeks to get a reply. A claim can take months with no word from staff on their progress!

They recently scrapped their entire forum, presumably because so many members turned there for unanswered questions/queries. So, rather than their staff address the issues, they simply proved they don't care & tried to make the queries/complaints go away. I think this totally sums their attitude up.

They may not charge a membershiop fee like some sites, but as the first poster above said, their idea of "100%" is rarely that. I'm sure they make a significantly better profit from withholding a significant (varying) % of transactions, rather than a one off £3-£5 fee.
    • Recently transferred over £200 with no problem to my bank account, however when some retailers don't pay the CB and you try to submit the query they don't really help - they come up with some silly answer and close the query. I have had the majority of my claims paid but when there are little glitches I don't really find them overly helpful - also if you buy something from a catalogue and return it due to problems then re-order - you lose the CB so beware.

Great way to make some easy money though - especially with the free prints from Jessops, Truprint etc
