    I've been Money Tipped!
Personally I feel Quidco now need to drop their £5 fee and allow payments to be cashed when wanted as other sites do.
Drop SureShop as well, it's a burden and pointless in it's current format.
SureShop for genuine merchants yes, but not for every "Tom, !!!!!! or Harry".

Views form a previous Quidco member who quit due to issues. BTW, I gave 3/5.

I have used Quico quite a lot, have saved nearly £200 through them.

My mantra now is to look on Quidco first when I'm looking to buy anything... A few times I've gone ahead and bought something and missed out on a good cashback deal through Quidco!

I have got some big cashbacks for insurance etc. with no problems. Only a couple of times the cashback has not tracked through properly, I submitted a query and all was sorted out.

Only one time did I not get cashback for RAC membership, but it was my own fault because I accidentally selected to receive Nectar points during the purchase - you can't have both!

It is definitely a good idea to follow their advice regarding using a seperate browser for Quidco purchases. This is to ensure there is no confusion with existing tracking cookies from other websites that you visit. The advice is helpful and I'm sure will help to minimise the likelihood of any issues occurring.

On the whole, very impressed with the way it works. Sometimes it takes a while for the money to actually come through, but this is largely dependent upon the retailer, and the site does tell you how long it is likely to take at the beginning.

  • I've recently sarted using Topcashback too, but Quidco generally pays more and has more merchants.

Only had to raise very few queries with them and most have been paid out. I even got £35 from TMobile for taking out a solo sim deal ... which I cancelled the same day it arrived !!!!

Think a few people on here should remember the advice that cashback is a bit of a bonus if you get it, there's no guarantees and Quidco are at the mercy of the merchants.
  • I have been fairly happy with quidco upto date. 80% of the stuff gets paid, I don`t bother chasing the little amounts that dont get paid. However recently, I had a really annoying one where they didnt pay the vodafone cashback, I raised a ticket and the answers were pathetic, they knew I was right, but would never answer the question.

So am looking at going elsewhere because I believe in principle, once they screw me, they won`t do it again.

But anyway, to stop it happening to you lot, I suggest in future, you take a screen shot of the T+C, because it will be your only backup if they decide not to pay. They did this with Vodafone, I read the T+Cs over and over again to make sure I had got it right and ordered. The payment was going through, then suddently declined like 2 months later, I asked why and they sprouted some bull. I read the T+Cs again and they had changed. After confronting them about it, they just fobbed me off.

Quidco are generally good, but are clever at not paying when they dont want to. Take a screen shot on the more tricky and expensive transactions.

    Cheers
    Gazza.

I've only used Quidco so far, but I've had one payout of £47 for two tracked cash backs. I've got more waiting to validate but so far so good.

My father has only one tracked cash back which he's been waiting for over a month past when it should have validated.....

I have never been paid from them at all. Even though a transaction was tracked, one year later I am still waiting. If you send them a ticket, complete waste of time.
  • First time I used it I got over £100 (10% of purchase) back from Hotelopia. Never looked back since. Awaiting £75 refund from More Than at the monent for car insurance. Had no problems with payments at all.

You're likely to be a long time waiting for that one (if you get it at all) - large numbers of people reporting problems in getting payment from Quidco on this, both in MSE forums and on the Quidblog.
  • love quidco :j:j:j:j:j £1141 paid since Oct 2008 - couple of queries which have more been my not understanding the tracking process:rolleyes: and they have always been more than helpful. I cant belive i have made so much...my money is put aside for rewiring our house!
