large numbers of people reporting problems in getting payment from Quidco on this, both in MSE forums and on the Quidblog.

please define "large numbers", then express it as a % of total number of Quidco users, the figures you need have already been quoted on those threads, from memory, your "large numbers" equates to a very, very small %

    But to save you searching:

"Every year our members make over 4 million purchases – which is over 110,000 every day (or 1 every second of every hour of every day).

So inevitably – occasionally - things won’t go exactly as we and our members would like.

However, to put this into perspective, out of these 4 million less than 1% have issues, and of these less than 0.004% aren’t resolved - and be assured we are always working to reduce that number to as close to zero as is humanly possible."

Remind everyone again what the "large number" is: 10, 11, 15, 20?

  • 4/5 It takes a while to get the money, but I suppose this is not Quidco's fault.

  • Very interested to see I'm not the only one havign trouble with Co-Op insurance cashback via Quidco. I contacted both companies following buying a car policy in April . Co-Op initially tried to fob me off. (So much for an ethical company). Quidco now show earnigns as "validated" but they haven't paid out and do not answer enquiries.

Thank you for helpfully quoting from Quidco. I am quite happy to accept that the failed insurance transactions will be a very small percentage of the total number of transactions.

I've little doubt that the smaller transactions are dealt with reasonably well. But, when it comes to the large transactions, such as More Than, I've found a very different story - and so, if you look on these forums and the Quidblog, have many others.

As a % of the total number of transactions, the number is small. As a % of the insurance transactions, I suggest it's rather larger. I can't give you an actual percentage, because neither I nor you have access to the total number of insurance transactions involved.

    "so have many others"

how "many" have you counted then? 5? 10? 20? a guess perhaps? 25?

Of course I haven't counted them - but you don't need to count the number of boulders to spot an avalanche, do you?

You want an estimate? OK - well over 100, I'd say, and that's a conservative estimate. It could be substantially more. And these are only the people who've:

    a) remembered that they're due money and
    b) bothered to complain about it

As a percentage, I'd guess it's a high figure too - but we neither of us know the total number to work the percentage on. Or the number not included in a and b above.

You carry on supporting Quidco - I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
  • Most of my small transactions with Quidco have been paid. They seem to track and validate without problems. However, I have been waiting since April for £75 cashback from More Than and every month I am told payment will be the next month. Quidco do not seem to take 'tickets' seriously and always fob me off with some excuse or another. I do not believe I will every receive payment, although the purchase tracked and validated very quickly. Will not be buying any further insurance products through them.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I've had over £2000 but in the last 12 months have had a few higher value transactions decline - Kwik Fit Home Insurance, PKR, etc
I have jumped ship and gone to TopCashBack recently - I'll not be going back either - no annual fee and cashback rates are same or better
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

taken from the Ruthha school of responses, why can people not give straight answers?, or maybe they don't think before they post.

 why does everyone avoid the question, I thought it was reasonable, you said large numbers...I asked how many, simple enough I thought seeing as you were the one who had seen all these posters on here and on Quidco (incidently if you're referring to the Quidclan Ruthha is on, they only have about 20 members)

Two more posts directly above this one. You do the counting, since you're the one so concerned with numbers. If you think it's all fine and dandy with Quidco, that's your prerogative.
