  • Have used quidco for over four years successfully. Yes a few things haven't tracked and I have needed to raise a ticket, but they have all paid out eventually even though one of the first one, a mobile phone company for £50 took 2 years. I have used topcashback as well for companies not on quidco. Sometimes things have failed to track on topcashback, my experience is that the resolving missing transactions on quidco and topcashback are about the same. The e-mail from quidco informing you that cashback has been tracked is welcome improvement.

Just used Internet explorer 8 (standard settings security at medium high) and quidco for a 2k purchase at goldsmiths. Will my cashback track, worried now after reading quidco recommend security set to medium. :(
You should be worried about using Internet Explorer for any online transaction, its so full of security holes that you are putting yourself at risk ecery time you enter you financial details.

I started using Quidco earlier this year, most of the money in overseas hotels, as well as lots of smaller purchases at places like play.com.

The larger purchases, totalling a £2-3000, have often failed to be validated, and quidco's online advice etc is poor and not helpful.

What's been even worse has been their 'support' when I've raised tickets. The onus is on the user to have to re-input the full details of the transaction, which their system should have anyway, and which is made more difficult when a purchase is made in a different currency - the quidco site just wants the cost in £. There's no mention of how to raise a ticket for purchases in a different currency, which overseas hotels are.

I am mentally disabled and their service does not meet the requirements of the disability discrimination legislation. I have raised this with them, but it has not helped get me better support.

I have had many transactions not track at all, and tickets that I've raised have been rejected/closed randomly, and I have lost alot of money that I am rightfully due. This is in part because their system is so hard to use for people like me - it's in their interest to keep it so, as they offer a minimal service for the £5 annual charge that they make to us.

If purchases don't track, you're on your own, and there is absolutely no interest form quidco, despite the fact that they probably get paid by the retailer, which I guess happens by magic!

A very poor service out of my large number of expensive transactions this year. They deserve to go out of business unless they can improve their site and customer support, which is so bad, you couldn't make it up.
  • I have found that transactions that involve "unknown" final costs like Hotel and car rentals to be the worst trackers. However as I've had problems with getting hotels and car rentals updating their own frequent user programs without repeated prompting I'm not surprised that you have had this problem. Just enter the equivalent pound amount that you paid by whatever means. If the amount is incorrect, it will normally get corrected if the record of the booking has tracked. Hotels and car rentals can be particularly slow at reporting that the booking was actually completed and as they can often be mofidied/cancelled after booking they are not quick cashback payers. Even when the transaction is a prepay. Quidco periodically resolve the validated "missing transactions" after 2 years (yes I know this is long time) but this policy has boosted by cashback by £100. I find a once a month prompt of "any news" gets an update.
  • Generally good... however, I do have issues with them.

The tracking process is not fully explained on some of the retailers in particular ebay which is very badly explained, leading to it practically never showing up by itself.
This means you have to fill in the form for claim form, which does not become accessible until quite a time after the transaction, and only has space for one item number.
Each claim is assessed on the time you clicked through to ebay, so that if you want to pay for multiple items this can be a serious issue.

I also take umbrage with the fact that they state on their site, plastered all over it that they are the webs cashback cooperative, and yet show no signs of democracy, free speech, or indeed dividend for any profits made. It feels like a entirely false claim to me!
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

I have only just signed up for this, so can't comment in depth. My purchases have all been small items that I would have bought anyway. It looks like everythings been tracked and validated for my first payment.
  • Just had my first problem with Quidco. Bought a computer from Tesco.com and it did not track, submitted a ticket after 10 days and within 2 days it was declined. Sent message to Quidco asking if I could be told why it had been declined, as I was sure I had done everything correctly, eg deleting cookies etc. Still awaiting a reason.

Just logged onto Quidco and found that where two insurance policies with the AA which were orignally validated have now turned into payment declined, first major problem with them in 3 years, have sent in a ticket lets see how good they are at sorting this out!!!

I've been using Quidco since June last year - £287.88 worth of transactions gone through, only £17.08 declined, all due to the companies involved rather than Quidco. It's great, cashback on all the things I would have bought anyway! :-)
  • I've been using Quidco successfully for a year now without any problems, but for some reason, all of August's transactions never showed up.

This is despite passing the 'Cookie' tracking tests. I'm not sure, but it seems to have become unreliable at tracking recently.
