I have received about £200 cashback from Greasypalm in last 2 years, have now had 3 items not be credited and one should have been £50 cashback for taking out a life assurance plan, not happy it wasn't credited and Greasy palm would not answer any of my queeries. Their customer service is bad. Will still use them tho as you have to get to a certain amount before withdrawing cashback and i'm between payments. I find these sites are a bonus if you are buying the product anyway but can leave you out of pocket if you are signing up to something to get the cashback with a plan of cancelling afterwards.0

Quidco must be the worst of the 100% cashback sites. I hae used them only if i had no better option in the last year but still seem to have tracking issues when the amount is over £50.Lets not use quidco0

Quidco's anticompetitive practices and attempts to suppress TopCashBack:
Important Behind The Scenes Action! 14 Aug 2009
old news I'm afraid and it's only something that big businesses and supermarkets do anyway, if its illegal the monopolies commission should investigate, if not, all you can do is "whinge" about it, get people to post negatives about the "mystery" firm and fabricate their own stories. Most of these are easy to spot as when quizzed, most can't reply with facts and figures. e.g. "large numbers" or "many people" are phrases used, when queried and asked to be expressed as a % of Quidco's 650,000 customer base...no reply...as someone has already stated, most people only post when they want to complain or have ulterior motives, happy customers in most cases don't feel the need to type on forums.
Me?, I've had over £1500 from Quidco, yes, the odd blip but I'm not in too big a rush for cashback, besides it isn't guaranteed ( and I've even got payments from 2 years ago in the amnestly when they've paid the cashback themselves) and you may probably find in a high number of queries (tickets being raised) its probably the buyers fault.
Remember less than 0.004% of the 1% of 4,000,000 yearly transactions that have problems are not resolved...and how many of them are caused by the customer not clearing cookies, following other referral links etc?I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Old news it may be, but as I recall Quidco refused to answer questions put to them about it. Odd that.0 -
Generally good experience with Quidco, despite a few hitches with items not tracked, but generally resolved without too much bother (wish I could say the same for Tax Credits!). The payments often seem to take ages to come through, but I don't think that is Quidco's fault.0

I am very, very disappointed like many others with Quidco and the lack of promised cash back when taking out car insurance with More Than. Without the cash back More Than were not the cheapest and had I known I would have gone elsewhere (maybe Tesco to get the points). Lesson learnt for me! I may use Quidco for small amounts in the future but will never take up insurance on the basis that I will receive cash back!
I guess we don't have any legal recourse against Quidco as their terms and conditions will prevent it - what do we pay £5 a year for then?0 -

What does it matter, its a legitimate practice in business, I suppose you're the sort of person who finds "fault" with Ryanair, Tesco and Sainsburys as well, all who use similar business practices.I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Actually, you're not entirely correct Torby. There's some truth in what you say regarding business practice, however, there is a law that states that no one company should control the market. This is why the recent mergers with the banks have been frowned upon (however, in this case there was no alternative; either the banks merged or went out of business, taking our money with them). If Quidco control all the Networks they effectively control the whole cashback industry and this, in England and Wales at least, is unlawful.
You can't compare this with Tesco, Sainsbury's (odd choice) or Ryanair. Tesco and Sainsbury's are rival companies and both compete with Asda and Morrisons, so there's nothing to compare there. Ryanair compete with all the other airlines, their closest rival being The Orange One. Quidco compete against all the other cashback sites, but the overiding factor here is the fact that they all use at least one network between them. If Quidco push TCB and other site off this network they have, effectively, killed the opposition. They then become a monopoly with the other cashback sites fighting for the scraps and they have no hope of ever properly competing with Quidco. This is not lawful and if it's proved that Quidco have attempted to monopolise the market they could be facing a hefty fine or worse.0 -
Plus were not necessarily talking about the legality here. Many will see this as an unethical practice, and on a Quidco feedback thread it's certainly relevant for people to know about. Do you work for Quidco? You seem to jump down the throat of anyone who dares to criticize it.poppy100
