Water rates of £320 a year, or meter?
2 of us live in our house, in Essex and have been offered a water meter. We never wash the cars or water the grass, and only have showers every day, we pay £320 a year rates, would it be cheaper to switch to a meter, as they want to fit one to our property? Thanks in advance

Yorkshire Water inflation query
I've just received a letter from Yorkshire Water saying "the average bill will rise by 2.06%... [which] is below the rate of inflation at 2.19%" I can't reconcile this claimed inflation figure with official ONS figures that put the current CPI at 1.8% and the RPI at 2.6%.
