Water bill high rented accommodation
My daughter lived in a one bedroom flat in Teddington. Get landlady had refused a meter being installed as it would mean removing a kitchen cupboard. My daughter's bills are therefore high and has been advised that the amount is calculated on the value of the property! What can she do about this?

Unusually high water bills
I contacted Yorkshire Water querying my bills over the last 11 years. They sent out several crews who eventually conceded that the meter was still registering running water even though my supply was turned off at the stop tap. They then dug up the entire length of the external pipework and concluded the leak must be in the…

Moving Home - Water
We are about to move home and I am going through the process of telling utility companies etc about our move. On Severn Trent Water's (SWT) website there are two tags: one, for moving within the area and, two, moving outside of the area. We are in the latter category. I was trying to fill details of our move out online…

Rainwater Harvester
Morning All, I have a rainwater harvester system that I am struggling with..... The system is plumbed in to the whole water system apart from the kitchen cold tap, meaning it will produce water to all outlets, taps, showers, cisterns, ect. Newly fitted water meter reading
We've just had a water meter installed. We have used no water since the meter was installed as we havnt been at the property. The water company asked for a reading. Ive just read it and its showing 000031. 1) Why is it not 000000? Is it usual to have a new meter not be exactly at 0? 2) Is this 31 units? How much is this…

Water usage doubled
I have received my water bill and based on the meter readings by my water company my water usage has doubled. There is no reason for it to have doubled and I'm therefore concerned that I have a leak. Meter reading error, how to proceed?
I moved out of my old house at the start of the year to make it easier to sell. It sold and the completion date was on 4th of May 2018. As I already had a property to move to I vacated my old house so that when it went on the market it would be easier to sell. It was 'vacant possession'. I have just received the closing…
