Windows XP: site name in IE6 status bar reduced to single letter

Spyaxe - the worst malware?
I've just spent an entire day trying to remove one small bit of malware from a pc. It was running the Windows firewall, Adaware and AVG but it still got in. AVG doesn't pick it up. Adaware removes it but it simply reinstalls. Avast doesn't pick it up. HijackIt & Winpatrol can see it but can't do anything about it....…

My PC can't 'see' the dvd-rw!?
