Help needed plse as windows updates failed

Options
Any help would be appreciated for a VERY BASIC (thick) computer user ...

I have automatic updates set on my computer but when I visited the windows update centre and reviewed my installation history I found the updates have failed since May. I get the Error Code 0x80200010 but cannot find any information about this on their site. I have Windows Firewall installed and Panda anti virus.

I wasn't exaggerating when I said I am a basic computer user, I really don't have much clue but thought someone might be able to give me some easy to follow instructions or ideas to resolve the problem. Thank you in advance, Mandy

Its Panda stopping the updates, what version have you got as there
is an available patch we just need to know the software version.

Edit: Make sure you have all the latest Panda Updates...

One work around is to Disable Panda Update your PC via Internet Explorer.

Once Panda is Disabled, Open Internet Explorer, Tools, Widows Update
then re-enable Panda.. Its not ideal however and a bit of a last resort.

    Thanks for your reply Intel.

The Panda Antivirus I have is Platinum (it came free with my computer). I hope this helps.

P.S. I have all the latest Panda updates as these are done automatically daily, and it is Panda who notified me that my computer is vunerable and to download a patch from windows which of course I can't do.

A big THANK YOU Intel, I downloaded the patch and it looks like I am now downloading windows on my computer. I really didn't have a clue so hopefully that will resolve the matter.

Although I have Panda installed I do notice I keep getting spyware although it is disinfected by Panda. Should I download anything to help get rid of this in addition to Panda or will this interfere with Panda? As my 12 months is up next month with Panda anti virus does anyone suggest I move elsewhere or are they ok? Thanks again in advance Mandy

Ok Once Panda is no longer relevant I would get a...

    Free Antivirus..
    Free Firewall...
    Free AdAware...
    Free MS Antispyware....

Ok so lets say Panda is out of date and no longer relevant I would download each of one of these programs then go offline, Uninstall Panda then Install the freebies..

Heres a link of mine with more info, Its upto you what software you choose
but with that in mins AVG and Avast are very good......... You only need one of these
do not use to Antivirus programs at the same time.

Also if uninstalling do it from Add/Remove programs in Control Panel

Some info here... Its just on my free webspace. http://www.intels.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
