Hi
I am trying to uninstall a broadband modem from my pc so I can install drivers for a new one. I cannot delete them via the normal add/remove software feature as it is not there! (along woth numerous other programs installed on my pc).
I managed to locate the broadband directory and clicked on the uninstall button there - but nothing happened.
Recently something went "wrong" with my pc which I havent managed to discover the root cause as yet. The end result is that
i) I cannot delete programs from the control panel
ii) It keeps asking me the Office XP original cd to be inserted even though I had Office 2000 installed - I have never ever had Office XP.
So, can anyone help me delete the broadband files instead of formatting my hard drive - again??
PS broadband modem is Voygaer 100
Thanks in advance

Navigate to the broadband directory using Explorer and delete the files by highlighting them and then pressing Delete. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If you are being asked for the office CD try putting the Restore CD
in that holds Microsoft Works it may be asking for that one..
https://www.ccleaner.com has a removal feature0 -
Do you have the original install CD for the modem - it probably has uninstall instructions on it too. Or an entry on the Start Menu programs list? Or maybe you have a safely remove hardware icon for it in the system tray.0
