Old Mortgage style loans
I have three student loans dating from 97, 98 and 99. I took these out for the same course from the Student loans Company (now sold to Erudio). I was always under the impression that these were mortgage style loans and that the debt is wiped after 25 years. I have been able to defer until now as I havent earned above the…

Open University experiences?
Last post about the OU on search was in 2016 so think that's long enough for a new one as things move on. I'm looking at doing an MSc, it would need to be part time, in my own time and by distance learning as I have a full time job, which living alone and with no alternate sources of income I need to keep. What I'm…

Couple of Qs re: University strikes

I've just read that it'll be 18 days in Feb and March, but not seen any announcement as to which dates which I thought was meant to have happened by now. 2. 18 days is a lot. Can students claim compensation for missed tuition (which ultimately they will…

Student Loan repayments
Hi I may be one of the lucky ones who is likely to pay off their student loan (Plan 2) before the 30 years expires, however I have noticed something unfair and have tried to flag this to Mr Lewis himself, with no success so far. So, here it goes: I started repaying my student loan in 2014. My student loan balance accrues…
