Buying national insurance years
I have 9 years to buy to bring me up to 35 years contributions, I've been getting NI credits for the last 3 years, can I buy the 6 years previous to that? Then I can stop having to sign on for credits and doing job searches as I'll be paid up,

National insurance buying years
Hi, I've recently successfully bought some missing National insurance years. They gave me an 18 digit code to send with the payment. I now have some more years that I'd like to buy back. Do I need a new 18 digit code or can I reuse the first one ? Thanks

Buying National Insurance Years, which years are filled first?
I've spoken to the Pension Forecast people and they have confirmed that I'm 8 years short of a full state pension and have given me my 18 digit code to buy the additional years. The cost of buying individual years currently varies between £795.60 and £824.20 so I was wondering if I don't purchase all 8 years in which order…

I'm 52, with 22 full years of contributions and 15 years to contribute before I retire. My record says I have 6 years where I did not contribute enough, 2 of which (2011/12 and 14/15) are "being checked", and another 4 stating that I can make voluntary contributions of £800-odd before 31st of July 23 (these years are…

Too late for AVC
I initially posted some time ago about starting an LGPS AVC with Prudential. Life and ailing parents overtook me and I unfortunately didn't get round to starting it. I am now in a position where I am considering retiring in November at 59, (a very tenuous consideration I have to add). I have between £20,000 and £40,000 to…

Counting National Insurance Years
I’ve had a quick look through posts to ensure this hasn’t been covered before but apologies if it has. I’ve recently taken voluntary early retirement aged 56 and taken my reduced final salary pension. As of now I have 40 years full national insurance years and the HMRC forecast tells me I have enough years. So, all is good…

Years of Full National Insurance Contributions - 36
According to Gov.uk they have confirmed that I have 36 years of full NI contributions but have also confirmed that I am forecast to receive "only" £163 per week when I am 66 (in a year's time) I was under the impression that 35 + years should qualify me for the full £203 per week. I know such calculations can get…

Is the Future Pensions Centre open today
I have managed to get through to 'hold' after countless times trying. I have now been on hold for 2 hours, and am wondering if as it is 6 April they are off on early Easter holidays? There is no way of finding out when their holiday dates are, and I wonder if anyone has been able to get through to them today, or knows…
