Aldi Cedar Myrrh and Black Musk dupe
Hi all, Sorry if this isn’t in the right thread. Aldi has had their Christmas Hotel Collection candles on special buy last week and their candles are usually pretty good dupes for the Jo Malone scents. Can anyone tell me which of the Jo Malone scents would match up to Aldi’s Cedar, Myrrh and Black Musk candle? There is a…

How to shop for Levis on Amazon?
I find it very hard to find reasonably priced Levi jeans on Amazon, as you have to first select the type (ie, 501, 511, etc), then the size, then you're presented with a long list of the different styles. This then necessitates lots of clicking as you work through each one trying in vain to find one for a resonable priceIs…

Moral dilemma - should I return a £25 clothes shop gift voucher?
A few Christmases ago, my 87 year old mother who was suffering from vascular dementia (now sadly deceased), gave me a thick woollen jumper for Xmas. Unfortunately, it did not fit at all, the arms were weirdly way too long. The new-smelling jumper still had the shop nylon loop attached through the material and the loop…

Charity shop buying
Can I ask everyone clothing related what you would NOT buy from a charity shop and what you wouldn't? Me and my friend are arguing about the kind of things people wouldn't buy used or new from a charity shop. I thought why not ask you all to put the argument to bed. Thanks

Decathlon Store : 2 year warranty ... Is it any good ?
I intend buying some walking gear from Decathlon and was impressed by their 2-year warranty promise. It looks good, but checking reviews on some of the products indicates problems getting this warranty put into action. Examples such as trainer stitching coming loose, but the store saying it was caused by rough usage of the…

Independent Shops - recommendations to support small businesses
I’ve been trying to support local/small businesses for a while now and have had some great buys and real finds. Conscious that so many shops are having to close under the current restrictions I thought it might be an idea to post some recommendations for small shops/businesses which people have used and perhaps generate a…

I think my local supermarket thinks I'm scamming them!
I dont think I am?! Through my work I get discounts at certain places and get 4% off my local supermarket. So if I put £100 on the supermarket's gift card, it only costs me £96. So with this gift card I have been buying Amazon gift cards - I have spent a lot at Amazon recently and so have bought quite a lot of the gift…

Time to reverse a chargeback - 45 days or 45 working days?
Just read the great article on reversing chargebacks and there's a point made that the retailer has 45 days to provide proof to reverse the chargeback if they want (a 'clawback' I beleive it's called). Is this 45 days including weekends ect or 45 working days? Thanks a lot in advance
