Hi,
Thinking of booking a vision test and also a contact lenses test. I'll probably want to use the results elsewhere, so which opticians just give you the results versus being difficult about it?!
I've got a Specsavers, Boots and Asda all close.

All of them, why should they be difficult? They won't know your not going to buy anyway.0

Most of them are difficult as they want you to buy glasses from them and not go elsewhere. Boots very reluctantly gave me mine a few years back but they don’t give you the pupil distance so someone needs to measure that for you if you are ordering online.roddydogs said:All of them, why should they be difficult? They are legally required to give you a prescription after a test, never had a problem going elsewhere. Don't know where youve been going!. They do not need to give you the pd as that is not part of the prescription0

Specsavers give me mine after the test and then ask if I want to look at glasses.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Just say you haven't got time to browse now (need to go off and do something else, and you'll come back) and they'll then ask you to pay for test (if haven't already) and give you prescription.Indecision is the key to flexibility
