Anyone using Sidekick found a way to view the daily accrued Interest amount?
Has anyone managed to locate the daily interest amount in the Sidekick app? I can see interest earned to date but nothing about the actual daily interest (interest info says accrued every day but only applied from Sunday through to Thursday).

Getting into the market
Hi all I have an inheritance in the pipeline and I'll be maxing out my ISA allowance. I think it'll be after the end of this financial year. I'll be saving with a stocks and shares ISA, and I wondered what people's thoughts are on the best way to load up the ISA: 1. Dump the 20k straight in and get the investment going at…

De-risking S&S ISA prior to house purchase
Hello, thought I'd garner opinions on here about de-risking S&S ISA before using the money as a deposit on a house. Scenario is about £50k held in HL ISA and LISA (approx £25k in each), currently invested in global equity trackers. Looking to use the money as a deposit on a house in about a year's time. So therefore…

Kent Reliance rant
Kent reliance are in the midst of setting up a new IT platform but have released the new system without full functionality or integration of existing data. Previously I could transfer money from easy access account to new bonds. Now bonds are on the new platform, with separate login but existing accounts on the old. To…

Why do I invest in a global index when the S&P500 always wins?
I'm invested exclusively in VWRP which is a global index fund. I chose this because I read countless articles about concentrating all your money to one country can be risky, even if that country is the United States. And it made sense at the time, I thought I was being smart and risk averse by opting for a more balanced…

Temporary Large Balance protection
I am just trying to check whether the temporary protection still applies if I move the funds from the account it was originally sent to. Example: I sell my house main residence for net receipt of £700K from solicitor. Proceeds goes into account A which pays low/no interest. I move £500K into account B pending completion of…

Best way to invest about 200k
Hi All, I am a higher rate tax payer and pay into my pension but not a large amount about £400pm as I am still some years away from retirement and do not like that the pension age keeps increasing. I am looking for a list of institutions, such as Yorkshire Building Society that have a "deposit" type option on their website to fund accounts from a debit card. I am fairly sure this has been asked before, but I have used forum search and can not find such a list. While I currently fund regular savings accounts with…

Standing order question: First Direct
Last night, while half asleep, l mistakenly sent £250 over to my FD monthly saver account. Obviously, the money didn't cover the standing order amount, so l sent funds to cover the shortfall ASAP . Will it correct itself today, or will l need to phone them to change the standing order for next month? I only have one more…

Landal Belvedere go into administration
Last year I invested in landal belvedere for a lodge under a 5 year contract. Initial investment £84,950, with 8% net yield per year rental income, equated to £6796. And buy back rate for 110% so £93,445, overall return £42,475. For the first year received rent on time, then in June when due to receive rent they stated it…

Regular Saver Accounts
I often see recommendations for high interest regualr savr accounts. Please note the interest is calculated based on the money in your account at the time of calculation, not the final lump sum at the end of the term. . So if the claimed interest rate is, say 6% the first payment only accrues 1/12th of 6% the second balane…

Raising FSCS Protection Limit
I was going to post this reply in the Birmingham bank thread but rather than send that thread off track I thought I'd start a new one. I had someone elses bank statement sent to me once. They had just shy of 500K in their current account. Now OK 500K is a lot but I suspect it was pretty much all of their life savings. I…

Savings / investments for grandchild in Europe
Mum (now 83) wishes to spend about £100 per month on savings for her grand-daughter (who has dual UK / Belgian citizenship and has always lived in Belgium). GD's dad (my brother) has suggested something investment-based rather than cash savings, given GD's age (just turned 12). Am I right in thinking that the options are:…
