Tax free savings for a new child

In other countries parents are able to save money tax free for a new baby so it is a good idea financially to open those when a new baby is born.
Is there anything like this in the UK? Any accounts you can save money in tax free for a new-born?

And don't forget they have their own Personal Allowance to use. And both 0% tax bands for savings interest.
