Santander/Cahoot sites under maintenance for 29 hours (apparently!)
I don't know exactly what you'll be able to do or at which times, but this epic period of 'overnight' disruption is 'overday' too!

Best use of leftover company net profits when plan is to buy? SIPP? SSISA?
Every FY I can do the following: Max out basic rate dividends (37.7k) Pay myself salary to cover NIC (12.5k) Max out LISA (4k) Invest in SSISA (8k) and then usually have about 100k net profits left in my company accounts in a 1.4% AER savings account (after corporate tax, vat, and paye tax is all paid) My short term goal…

Should I sell my gold
Hello I have a solid gold necklace that was valued at 8k. Having looked at the price of gold today it's much higher. I rang the place who have now increased the value to £9,200 and will buy it from me today at that. Rang a few others to check and it's the same offer. I have kept the necklace as in my head it's been money…

Cahoot's transaction limits
My Cahoot Simple Saver is ending this weekend. Does anyone know what's the daily withdrawal limit and does the whole weekend counts as 1 day (like with Ulster and probably some other banks). I can't find any of this info in Cahoot's t&c.

Cahoot a/c upgrade
Apologies if this is old news and I'm late to the party but had my eye off my savings for a while, but my Simple Saver 12 months expired and saw for the first time the Account Upgrade option which basically keeps all the same account info be signs up again for another 12 months at the 4.40% AER. How simple and how useful…

Flexible ISA confusion
If I deposit £20,000 in to a flexible cash ISA during tax year 25/26 and then deposit £10,000 in the next tax year 26/27 and then withdraw the full £30000 during that tax year to put into a savers account elsewhere can I put the full £30000 back into the flexible cash isa before the end of that tax year? yougov.finance bribe
It's one of these almost-too-good-to-be-true stories, but it is true. First mentioned by @Bridlington1 in the Natwest Regular Saver thread, but I reckon this deserves its own thread as it could be of interest to those who have at least 10 current, credit card and savings accounts and not everyone reads the Natwest RS…

Smithson
I got a nice letter from Smirhson today, which was kind of them since I sold out of the ISA some years ago, and sold my last tranche of unwrapped on April 6th for a gain of 3k to avoid CGT. Apparently they are converting to an OEIC, presumably to get rid of that pesky discount that never seemed to get better and makes them…

Selling a HL Fund and Share account
Hi all, Please can someone confirm (or otherwise) if my thinking is correct? (Please be kind!) I have a fund and share account with Hargreaves Lansdown that I put £2000 in a few years back. It currently stands at £4400. If I sell it, and put the funds into a new S&S ISA (I'm thinking Trading212) I don't think I will need…
