Salesforce Authenticator App

Opening a Progressive Account this morning had no choice but to download this App as I don't use WhatsApp. Having downloaded it and used it I can see no way to log out of it. Am I missing something? If I was to uninstall it would my account still be linked to it. Many thanks

Don't know about that one, but FYI you can use any authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Ente Auth, Authy etc), it doesn't have to be the Salesforce one. They don't usually have log in / log out, but some can be protected with a code (phone lock is adequate in most cases). If you were to uninstall it, you'd probably lose the ability to generate codes and may need to do some sort of reset on the Progressive site. Unless you've retained the 2D-barcode to set up with another app.1

You get to choose whatever authenticator app you like. I use Authy and Bitwarden.
Authentication apps tend to log you in and auto-log you out. When used on phones, it will often be a password, pin number or face recognition. On a PC it is usually password.

Using the Salesforce app you where gain instant approval as you unlock the phone its waiting for approval.
Using another authorisation app will mean scrolling through your apps then typing in whatever code is displayed.0 -

Not a barcode.
Qr codeA QR code is a barcode*. It encodes an alphanumeric secret that can be reused if you retain it (in a secure location).* Don't believe me? Scan below:0 -
