Norwich to Dartford - Refund dispute
I recently travelled Norwich to Dartford via Cambridge using split tickets at Cambridge. Basically what happened was that I didn't mean to split at Cambridge, I ended up being forced to by the ticket office who insisted on it, but missold me a standard class ticket when I basically asked for a first class one. So I got to…

Refund for Network Railcard
Hello I bought a Network Railcard to save me on my occasional trips to London for work. I was worried it would not work for peak times, so spent some time looking at their, rather confusing, pages on the types of tickets it works with. As it said that I could use it for Anytime tickets, I assumed it was fine for the…

Private land riding and parking
Some area in England, in city center have private land is open to public. As a courier rider we get told to get off our bike. Normal commuter cyclist do use the same way as us. Money Moral Dilemma: Should we claim £300 for a train delay when we still enjoyed the journey?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... My partner and I took a sleeper train to Scotland recently, a 12-hour journey which was delayed by 90 minutes. Under Delay Repay rules that entitles us to full compensation for a single fare - £300 for two people. Yet for an overnight journey the delay wasn't massive, plus we…

Apologies if this has been asked before. Until the other…

Quick question about delay repay compensation scheme
One thing I simply don't understand about the whole scheme is this... I either buy a weekly ticket or a return ticket. Both of these are valid all day, and have no times on them. So say my train is delayed, how does the train company know I'm telling the truth? Say I get the 7am train, but the train at 7:30am is delayed by…

Conductor refused valid ticket
A few days after the infamous "49 Hertz Friday" incident, on which I used my London Terminals to Thetford ticket to go to Wymondham by travelling on a train to Norwich, and getting a taxi from there to Wymondham, I boarded a train at Wymondham with the intentions of going to Thetford. I asked the conductor if she could…

Travel Refund
Ok, so some advice needed. On 17/10/19 I booked tickets for the next day ( 18/10 ) to travel from Newport to London ( £159 ) - I bought them from the ticket office ( which I think is run by TfW ) and the train company is GWR. As it happened I couldn't travel so contacted GWR on the 21st and filled out the reclaim form and…
