Can you recommend a cycling balaclava?

Hi, want to purchase online the above. One whereby it is optional to pull over both your mouth and nose. Anybody use these all seasons, or just winter? Thanks.

You'll probably find you'll need to do a bit of experimenting to find what suits you and your type of cycling.
Originally I started off with a thin stretchy balaclava similar to what racing drivers use but I found it was making me too hot particularly on top and around my mouth. Now most of the time I have a simple thermal head band and a jacket which covers my neck.
I certainly don't wear it all year round and have a few varying layers which I change depending on the weather, it's not pleasant being cold but it can be just as bad when you're too hot and sweaty.0 -
I’m hairless, so get cold on my head. In cold weather I wear a skullcap type thing under my helmet, and a buff around my neck. I can pull the buff up at the front and back, which gives more coverage if needed. I don’t like anything restricting my breathing, so don’t cover my nose or mouth. Some people just use the buff, you can pull it up over your head, so it is more or less like a balaclava.
I have a boardman and a sealskinz skull cap and like them both. I’ve just received a gore one as a present, which looks promising, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.0 -
