Transport for London customers who buy an Oyster card from 23 February will only be able to get their £5 deposit refunded if they keep the card for more than a year - but with over £200 million in deposits currently stuck on unused cards, it's worth checking if you can get a refund now...
As a very occasional Oyster card user, I've thought of returning my card and getting the deposit back, then using contactless, BUT I finally managed to get my disabled railcard linked to the Oyster card, and I presume there's no way of doing the same with a credit card!
