Days out - cycle parking
Summer is around the corner (let's hope!), and as I've taken up cycling again, I'm dreaming of days out. But one problem I'm finding is that while places I might want to go to have large, maintained, car parks, and even coach parks, there seems to be a distinct lack of cycle parking. I'm not talking about town centres, but…

Half price train tickets sale
I was excited to hear about it this morning. Went on the website at lunchtime, checked my journey was included, clicked on "buy tickets". Was redirected to train company's website where I re-entered the journey details... but could see no sign of any half price tickets. Tried various days and times - nothing. No idea if…

Invalid Train ticket and fine with threat of summonds
Hi, I am currently going through a bit of an issue where I thought I brought an open return when in fact it was an open anytime "DAY" return ticket. I was asked for my ticket when returning from Brighton and even I was oblivious to the fact that my ticket was invalid until this point. I even thought the ticket machine had…

Cycling with 2 kids
I was hoping to be able to use my bike to take the kids on the nursery run, with the ever increasing fuel costs and now that the nicer weather is here (for now), it'd be great to use my bike to take them to nursery. I have a 1-year-old and a very nearly 4-year-old. Currently, I have a Hamax seat on the bike, which either…

Not sure…

Railcard won’t refund
Hi all, I bought a 26-30 railcard as I started taking the train to work in the morning, but the staff on the train told me there is a minimum spend of £12.99 before 10am. I immediately contacted railcard to ask them to cancel (not within 24 hours though!) and they won’t refund. Do I have any rights?

Hi everyone. My 12yo daughter is going to start taking the train but as she is tall for her age, I expect that sooner or later she will be challenged over using a child ticket. C2W 12 months or 48 months
I'm considering buying an electric bike which is £4k and the C2W scheme allows me to pay monthly repayments over 12 months up to 48 months. Since my total "saving" from tax and NI relief is the same whichever period I choose my initial thought was why not just go for the 48 months of much lower monthly repayments. But is…
