Council tax banding on new properties
If banding is based on property value in 1991 how is the correct band given on new property? We have a 1930's 3 bed terraced on Band D. Our son is in 2yr old 1 bed flat, same Borough, but also on Band D this doesn't seem fair. Can't use MSE Band checker due to being new property.

How do I know how much to ask them for? they said " how about £250" They approved a mortgage and just 2 day prior to completion said I couldn't use the gift of equity as a deposit ( previously agreed) and I would need to come up with 16000 What do you think ?
