Can I claim back mortgage broker fees?
We applied for a mortgage last week which got declined, despite having a mortgage in principle! Are we able to claim back the £500 mortgage broker fees we paid? We are still within 14 days, am I right in thinking there is a 14 day cooling off period.

2014 Council Tax demand
I have received a bill for council tax for 2014 for my parents house. Are they still able to ask for this? My bank has messed up my mortgage and offered me compensation. How do I know how much to ask them for? they said " how about £250" They approved a mortgage and just 2 day prior to completion said I couldn't use the gift of equity as a deposit ( previously agreed) and I would need to come up with 16000 What do you think ?

I complained about my PPI claim that I had in the 1990's with empire stores . I had a response from la redoute today that as it was sold before 14th Jan 2005 then I could not claim . I then took this to the ombudsman and they said the same ! Is there anything I can do ?

Lloyds TSB packages account success!!
Had to share my story. Applied to regain my packaged bank account fees to Lloyds TSB through Resolver last Friday. Had a phone call yesterday from then asking for more information and tonight phoned me to confirm I will be awarded just over £2000!! Thank you!!!
