How do I find out a past mortgage account number?

I am assisting my mum who is 80 in claiming PPI for a mortgage that she had in 1990s. We have made the claim with Bank of Scotland and also with MSE Resolver. On both occasions BOS have responded to say that they can not progress the claim as my mum hasn't submitted her mortgage account number (she does not have this anymore). Can anyone help?

No. Only your mother or BoS would have it, and after so long, there will be nothing remaining now at BoS.

A SAR would almost certainly be a waste of £10.

Only the plus side, most MPPI wasn't mis sold.
