Packaged bank account fee success (Natwest)

Just wanted to share this in case anyone's considering whether to do a claim on a PBA.

I was told at 19 that due to me being a bit crap with my money I had to agree to have my Natwest current account switched to a fee paying account or have my account closed. Mortified at being told off by the bank, I didn't think i could say no.

Didn't think I'd get anywhere as I didn't have any evidence (it's been 16 years), but thought I'd give it a go. Sent letter through resolver.

A few weeks later I received a letter agreeing with my complaint and advising that they were paying back all my fees plus interest - over £3000! Am absolutely delighted and it's going straight in the house deposit fund.

And yes, I will finally be ditching the account (slow learner...)
