Council Tax Values 1997 Dev.
We live in a small Cul de Sac with all the properties in bands A-D depending on size. All the bandings were based on sale price in '97 backdated to '91 but since then the value hasn't increased and when we put the value in now and back date it to '91 the bandings drop. Can we ask to have the whole street revalued? Could…

Overcharged council tax?
I am on the lowest council tax band which is supposed to be £1160 a year, but I'm being charged £142 a month (£1700 a year). Does anyone know why this might be? I'm quite confused by this. I have tried contacting the council but no response.

If I challenge and the band for my neighbours in increased, will they know that it's because of me?
I've just been checking all the other similar properties near me of the same 1960's development. Many of them have been extended and are bigger than mine now, but they are all in band C or D. I'm in band E, and the only reason I can think of is that I'm the last one in the development, so am round the corner with a…

Just wanted some advice; I met up with some friends today and just through random conversations, somehow we were talking about student loan payments and one of my friends didn't believe me when I said how much tax I used to pay when I was employed. He then told me I must've been on the wrong payment plan as his was £X…

Council Tax Credit Balance at 31st March
Can I insist my council assign the credit balance on my Council tax account at 31 March against my April charge? They want to spread the credit evenly over the whole year. This means I will still owe them money for April even though the credit on my account will cover the charge.

Hi all, Apologies in advance if this is not the best place to post this, I wasn't sure. My Council doesn't provide wheelie bins.
