Hi there I hope everybody is well.
In 2002 I applyed for a mortgage with Lloyd's bank and I paid £500.
The bank did not accept my application but kept the £500 application fee that they never gave me back.
Is there a way I can get my money back!
I thought that was outrageoud

There is a 6 year time limit on recovering a debt. So unless you have asked for this money back within the past 6 years you are statute barred. Further it may have been non refundable and as this was 20 yrs ago, a failed application may no longer be on the system.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
