Just got my slow cooker need at bit of advice... its a 6.5 litre one, its so big. Just looking at some of the receipes from the leaflet i got with it, i could feed an army. So the dilemia is do i send it back and get a smaller one, or keep it and make double the quanity i need, and freeze the rest.. What would you do -…

Milk from a cow?
Can you drink milk straight out of the cow? Silly question, I Know, but I was thinking about a neighbour who has a cow, who sometimes offers us milk (not here in uk). We have a language barrier, so I don't understand him or he me. But from his hand signals, i'm guessing he says its ok. Anyone know?? LL

slow cooker cooking times
I know there are recipe threads etc about slow cookers, but they don't seem to answer my question. I love the sound of some of the recipes on here but I am out of the house for 10-11 hours a day, could i leave them in there all that time if put it on low? Can I make ice cream without having to make the egg custard base? If I just flavoured some whipped up double cream and froze it would it go all grainy or would it be ok? I have got an ice cream maker but very few recipes!

Making my own moisturising cream
I've got a lovely moisturising cream which has olive oil in it but it's going to run out soon and I would like to make my own. I have a moisturiser that isn't too strong smelling and I have extra virgin olive oil - can I mix it to make my own? Does anyone else make their own? Any tips would be welcome :)

Hard water problems
No matter how much I wash the glasses, they look horrible with water marks and put you off from drinking from them. They are a problem if we have visitors and the glasses look dirty and I know what they are not. The same for cutleries, the spoons have got water marks left on them. Please is there a solution to this…
