Best place for rose arches is Cannock Gates (http://www.thegardenfactory.co.uk/) (do a search for 'arch' or some don't come up). They're having a sale at the mo, with arches starting from £34.95. It is possible to buy arches cheaper, but they're usually made out of lightweight aluminium tubing and (as I found out) a heavy rose + a heavy wind = twisted lump of tubes on ground. CG, on the other hand, make theirs out of wrought iron, and the gazebo and obelisks I bought from them for a previous house are still standing 8 years later. You do need to invest in a small tin of Hammerite or similar to weatherproof them and you'll probably need to touch up every couple of years or so, but it's an easy job and does mean you can choose the colour you want.

Two Wests & Elliott (http://www.twowests.co.uk/) do fruit cages, and they seem pretty cheap. Replacement netting can be got at Kays Horticulture (http://www.kayshorticulture.com/) (they're the cheapest I've found for all sorts of garden stuff like fleece, netting, membranes etc). If you fancy making one yourself, instructions here: http://www.greenfingers.com/articledisplay.asp?id=405

You could construct a frame out of plumbing pipes. I've made 2 different types in the past - a rigid one using elbows etc and a hoop arangement using flexible pipe. The latter one was easier to put up but considerably less stable. I then draped netting over both of them. In both cases I hammered spikes in to the ground for the pipes to sit on. I don't know how low cost these options might be.

I bought one from here. It is of cheaper construction, but I'm just growing sweetpeas and morning glories up it and it seems plenty secure enough for that. Delivery is free on orders over £15, or at least it was last time I ordered from them. :)

We built one this year out of bamboo canes lashed together and netting - you can tell we're both Cub Scout leaders!!! So far it's very effective ie there are still redcurrants on the bush and I have seen the blackbirds looking at it in a perplexed manner. Last year I got 10 redcurrants only.
