We do take it out now and again with all the windows…

Rice in slow cooker?
I have some pork cooking away in my slow cooker at the moment and I plan to serve it up with rice, peas and sweetcorn (using up storecupboard bits!). Does anyone know if they're gluten free please? I've read the box but still not sure and have a relative with coeliac disease coming to stay. Thanks. x P.S. Sorry for any confusion, this question was about kallo organic cubes but I changed the title after I asked about sausages a bit further down the thread.

Cooking for 5 (or 3 or any odd number for that matter)
Recipes are always written for 4 or 6 aren't they ? I cook for 5. At the moment the two youngest (7 and 10) don't eat a whole portion so a recipe for 4 works out OK. But I forsee that by the time I have 3 teenagers in the house that's not going to wash  What do other family cooks do ? Do you a) do a calculation -…

But DH claims he does not like aubergines bc his DAD (not HIM) felt ill after eating some in 1985...since then aubergines have been delcared highly toxic in my IL family. For the record, when we first met, DH never touched anything containing the slightest bit of orange…

Re-heating food
We are on a tight budget and recently I made a huge pot of Chilli and also made far too much rice. Once cold I put both the rice and Chilli in separate sealed containers and put them in the fridge. Is rice OK to be re-heated? I've re-heated Chilli before but not sure about the rice. Many thanks
