Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday 31 March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good morning to you all and hugs to all those who need them.
I have given up on sleep. The baby is having a growth spurt and I've been feeding him almost constantly since lunch time yesterday. And my toddler is a bit under the weather and woke up an hour ago because he wet the bed. So my first job, after hanging the nappies up to dry, will be to wash the bedding!
I've decided to experiment with making pesto out of seasonal veg. The kale was a success yesterday so I'm going to try purple sprouting broccoli and I want to try the kale with tahini instead of pine nuts. I also need to get some lentil soup on the go and I promised my son we could make some more of the weetabix brownies which, if you haven't tried yet, are absolutely delish!
I hope you all have a good day.
Edit: A warm welcome to Meher. I hope your eye is better soon.

'morning
it's already 6.05 am and me already cut vegetables washed and put them away in the fridge for cooking in the next few hours - now pressure cooking pulses - not bad eh?
then off to give car for servicing - then collecting it - minding husband's business - then returning to mind certain MSE'rs business inbetween
but it looks like I'd be indoors for a few days - sneeky suspicion that my left eye is not keeping well - hopefully it's not conjunctivitis - but cannot think of any allergy that would affect me either
you have a beautiful and exciting weekend :kisses3:0 -

Good morning all.
Hope your day improves Gingham and meher, and kyle. Edit - and Mrs Mix - you beat me to it!
I'll be out with a friend for a cuppa, then need to blitz my bedroom and do some other fly-ing.
My friends left for Wester Ross from my house yesterday, and will be safely tucked up in the cottahe (sob), but there'll always be another time when my body can more easily withstand the journey!!
I made bread with tahini as the 'oil' and it tastes lovely - used 50% granary and strong white on a rapid medium setting.
have a great weekend, hugs to all
GQIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

I am toying with the idea of getting a shower but thought I might come here to check what everyone is up to.
I am going to cook a yummy bacon and tomato sandwich and have a cuppa.
Then it's look for best ISA, car insurance and other money saving ideas.
I have just taken on an extra part time job which makes me about £300 per month but it means working Sundays, so I will be preparing all the weeks meals e.g spag. bol, curry, casserole etc. Might even plant my onion sets as it's a lovely day.
